Sophie, Linh, and Biana huddle in a circle, kicking a hacky sack around, trying to keep it from hitting the ground. They had been going at it for a while, even though they kept dropping it. Linh had dropped it a few times, but not as much as Sophie; Biana had only dropped it about once or twice.

Sophie kicked it and it flew over the fence, landing in front of Fitz and the blonde boy that was with him earlier. Biana and Linh burst out laughing while Sophie just stares at the fallen hacky sack. "I hate this game."

"Only because you're bad at it." Biana winks at the blonde.

Sophie glares at Biana. "I don't like you," She mutters under her breath.

"What was that?"

"Nothing."

Fitz's friend picks up the hacky sack and Biana skips over to the fence. "Hey Keefe."

"Hi Biana. Lose something?" He throws the hacky sack over the fence.

Biana smirks, looking over at Sophie. "No, but Sophie might've."

Sophie blinks at Biana, her mouth drawn into a fine line. She tries to turn and walk away, but Linh grabs her arm and pulls her back.

"This is harassment." Sophie wiggles out of Linh's grip.

Biana shakes her head. "You're so dramatic."

Sophie finally acknowledges the boys on the other side of the fence, who were standing there awkwardly. She meets the blond's eyes and her heart jumps out of her chest. Biana jumps into action.

"You both know Fitz." She waves her hands in front of her brother dramatically, like a magician showing off a magic trick. "And this is his best, and only, friend, Keefe Sencen!"

The group just stares at her before Fitz speaks up. "Only friend? I have more friends than him."

Keefe smirks, wrapping his arm around Fitz's shoulders. "It's okay, Fitzy. There's no shame in admitting you only have one friend. I mean, there's a little shame, but it's okay!"

Keefe makes a kissy face and leans towards Fitz's cheek. He pushes Keefe away, unamused.

"Really thought you were going to kiss." Linh laughs. "You guys would make a cute couple."

Sophie chortles as Linh winks at them. Keefe holds up his hand in a heart shape, waiting for Fitz to complete it. Fitz blinks at Linh before turning away, walking up the bleachers.

Keefe wipes away imaginary tears. "I guess I'm just not his type. Or he's just playing hard to get. I'll have to try even harder. Oh Fitz!"

Keefe waggles his fingers at his best friend and dramatically climbs the steps of the bleachers. Fitz shrinks in his seat, trying to disappear and claim he doesn't know the blonde yelling at him.

Linh laughs as Biana rejoins their huddle. "He seems nice."

"He is." Biana smiles softly, obviously lost in thought.

Linh and Sophie look at each other, smiling and elbowing each other. Linh leans over to Sophie's ear. "I think she might have a crush."

Sophie leans away and looks at Linh, pretending to be shocked. "Oh, wow. Really? I never would have guessed!"

Linh giggles and pushes her away. "I hate you."

Biana eyeballs them, seeming to snap out of her love-sick state. "What are you guys talking about?"

Linh slaunters to the brunette, wrapping her arm around her. "Oh nothing, my dear. Don't you worry your pretty little face about it."

"You're... scaring me." Biana gently tugs away from Linh.

Linh presses her finger against Biana's lips, stopping her from saying anything else. "Shhhh.."

Biana glances at Sophie, who only shrugs her shoulders. "Don't ask me."

Biana pulls away from Linh and pulls Sophie to her. "I'm scared," She whispers.

Linh skips over to the duo and pulls them both into a tight embrace, pushing them into each other.

"I love you guys." Linh kisses both of their cheeks.

"What is happening?" Biana wiggles out of the group hug.

Linh just laughs in response, almost falling over. Biana and Sophie just stare at the raven-haired girl.

Biana leans to whisper to Sophie. "Do we need an exorcist?"

"We might." Sophie sighs.

Mr. Forkle, the girls' coach, walks over to where the rest of the girls are huddled, preparing to give them a pep talk. He waves the three girls over.

Sophie glances up to Fitz and Keefe as she walks towards her team. Fitz was buried in his phone, while passionately explaining something to Keefe. Keefe, on the other hand, was staring straight at Sophie. He tenses as they make eye contact and Sophie suddenly feels very nervous.

What was happening? Why was she feeling like this?
