Scarletts POV

I walk into the guest room beside y/ns room to see my sleepy girl still in bed.

When we got back yesterday, we emptied out her room so it's ready for decorating today, which meant she had to stay in a guest room since she had no bed.

"Y/n" I whispered in attempt of waking her up as I quietly made my way over to her. She gave me no reply so I lay down on top of the covers beside her, proving myself up on my elbow as I look at her sleeping figure.

"Y/n" I whisper again, gently tracing my finger along her cheek, hoping that my touch will help.

"Good morning" I greeted her with a smile as she tiredly opened her eyes.

"Hmm" she hummed in reply, closing her eyes again whilst moving closer to me. She yntycked her arm from the blanket and wrapped it around me whilst leaning her head against my chest.

"Wake up y/n" I chuckled at her state. She gave me a whine in reply, snuggling herself further into my chest.

"Sweetie, I don't think you can get any closer" I laughed, moving my hand that was tracing her cheek, to her hair, tucking strands behind her ear.

"I'm tired" she whined in her croaky morning voice.

"I know, but you have to get up, we have some decorating to do" I reminded her.

"Decorating?" She asked. I don't think her tired brain has caught up with reality yet.

"Yeh, your new room remember" I reminded her again.

"Oh yeh" she replied, a yawn following shortly after.

"Come on!" I giggled as she slowly fell back to sleep. She gave me no reply, only light snorze.

"Come on, up!" I poked her side, making her jerk awake and slightly away from me.

"Up! Up-up-up-up" I repeated as I playfully poked her sides again and again, making her burst out into a fit of laughter as she tried to escape.

"Okay! OKAY! OKAY-" She spoke in attempt to get me to listen and stop tickling her which she successfully did.

"-I'm up" she finished through her giggles that were quieting down. I couldn't help the joyful smile that was cemented to my face as I listened to my daughters laugh.

"What time is it?" She asked, wiping hair out of her face that had recently landed their from her slight jumping.

"Um... 9:50" I informed her as I checked my watch.

"Damn, I'm usually already up by now" she spoke, which ov course I already knew.

"I know, which is why I decided to come up and get you. Emptying your bedroom must have really tired you out huh?"

"I guess so" she agreed.

"Alright, come on, breakfast is downstairs, then we can start on your room" I told her as I stood up, taking the blankets with me, pulling them off the bed and letting them fall to the floor.

"Mom!" She whined as the fresh air hit her body, making her shiver.

"I just needed to make sure you get up" I chuckled.

"See you downstairs in five" I stated as I turned to walk out the room.

"Ten" she tried to negotiate but I turned back and have her the mom look making her rethink her answer.

"Okay, five, got it" she quickly spoke making me chuckle slightly toy myself at how much the mom look works.

I turned back around and continued to walk out the room, and down to the kitchen to meet the rest of the family.
