Spoils: TGC

(Note: I have no clue where Tipp was with at the end of the TGC and btw these oneshots don't connect)

"Tipp," Torell nudged the small boy, trying to wake him.

"Wake up Tipp." He tried again, when his try didn't work.

"Tipp, It's me Torell, Kiva's Sister. You need to wake up." He continued until Tipp eventually woke up. Torell pulled Tipp up to a seated position, before giving him a flask of cold water.

"That's it, you're doing great." Torell encouraged Tipp. It was the morning after the party and Torell had to get Tipp back before they noticed he was ever gone.

"Whereami?" Tipp asked, his words slurring together. He tried rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"We're in a safe house not far from the palace. Rhess is scouting around the palace to see when we can bring you back. She should be here soon." Torell explained, bringing Tipp a small pastry to nibble on.

They waited together in silence that seemed to hang heavily in the air. While Torell didn't tell Tipp, he thought something had happened in the Palace. The safehouse was as Torell had told Tipp, it was close to the palace and close enough to hear it. The party was supposed to be a massive party, and they should have been able to hear the music and laughter till late in the night or early in the morning. They didn't. Instead there was lots of shouting and yelling that was heard in the morning.

Torell had moved Tipp to somewhere more quiet so he wouldn't be distressed when he woke up, since he knew he'd have lots of questions. Tipp hadn't asked any but Torell knew he must be confused.

"I- Tipp, Kiva loves you. She couldn't have told anyone otherwise she would have been executed but she would never have meant to hurt you. Just... Please try to understand her." Torell tried to comfort him and softly placed his arm around the boy.

"But she could have told me," Tipp quietly said, sadness filling his voice.

"She did it to protect you. If someone found out you knew, she would have painted a target on your back. She only meant the best for you. I don't think anyone out of my family knows about her powers." Torell reasoned with him, hating how he didn't know what was happening in the palace and how Kiva wasn't here to tell him.

"Tor, I even asked her about the powers, she lied to me." Tipp said with tears in his eyes. He was so upset. Torell didn't know what to say to help the young boy and it didn't help when Tipp continued, " Do you have powers too? Does Zuleeka?"

"I don't have powers and I never will. Zuleeka doesn't either but Tipp... She isn't someone to mess around with. I wouldn't trust her." He admitted quietly. Hopefully Tipp would be happy with that answer.

"And does that mean Kiva always had the powers?" Tipp clarified, the pastry in his hand was now long forgotten.

"She was born with it but I'd assume they were dormant for a while in Zalindov." His voice cracked at the thought of a much younger Kiva in the death prison with nothing to fend herself with.

"But would she have been able to heal my mum?" It was a hard question to answer. Torell knew the answer but he couldn't jeopardise Kiva and Tipp's relationship. Before Torell could answer, Rhess came into the room.

"What's going on?" Torell quickly asked as he saw Rhess all puffed out, sweaty and covered in scratches. She sat down next to the two of them.

"It's bad. We can't go back. The palace or I should even say kingdom is in disarray. Mirry was working with Zuleeka the entire time and... Zuleeka has these powers. Like Kiva but instead of healing it's... the opposite. I took a quick look but I couldn't find Kiva but I heard something happened to the Prince and his golden shield. We need to go now." Rhess urgently said, still puffed out.

"Good thing I was ready then." Torell had already packed the essentials in packs, in case of an emergency like this.

"We'll find Kiva, right?" Tipp asked, his voice rising in panic. Torell grabbed Tipp's hand and pulled him up.

"We'll try but that's all we can do now." He promised as he started rushing to grab packs so they could go to a safer place and to figure out what their next plan would be.
