"Are you flirting with me?"

---

Murayama led Fuyumi out of the school. Furuya and Seki walked in the opposite direction that's why the two are left all alone.

"Why are we leaving the school?" she asked. He glanced at her and smirked as he holds her hand and pulled her with him. Fuyumi groaned internally but nevertheless let him drag her.

The two stopped under the tall tree just two blocks away from Oya High School. Fuyumi stared at the oak tree as she remembered how they used to nap underneath that tree.

"It's still here," she muttered. Murayama glanced at her as he walked closer to the tree and crouched down below to pluck oakleaf hydrangea flowers. The girl snapped her head in his direction and frowned.

"What are you doing?" she questioned.

Murayama walked toward her and handed her a bunch of white flowers. Fuyumi stared at him as if wondering if she should accept it. Murayama lightly pushed it toward her making her take it out of his hands.

"Ah~! This tree is still standing tall," Murayama commented as he looked up at the old oak tree. The girl smiled and stared at the flowers that were given to her.

"It really is strong," she mumbled.

"Just like us," he whispered but the girl heard it. She snapped in his direction and saw Murayama looking up at the tree in awe. "Didn't we first meet here?"

Fuyumi laughed, "Yeah, we did."

Seven years ago,

Fuyumi ran as the rain poured all of a sudden. She forgot that she lent her umbrella to her little brother and didn't take it back.

The girl ran towards the tall tree and took shelter there for a while until the rain stops. She was still getting soaked by the rain a bit but it's better than nothing, anyway.

She sighed as she stared at the sky. The dark clouds are still covering the bright sky and thunders can be heard from time to time.

Fuyumi waited there in complete silence until someone ran in her direction and also took shelter underneath the tree. She glanced at the boy that was the same age as her.

He has dirt and bruises on his body, especially on his face. The boy suddenly glanced in her direction and Fuyumi stared at him without even flinching at his cold gaze.

"What are you staring at?" he asked.

"Nothing," she mumbled.

Little did the two know, they will meet again at that same place and form a friendship, or maybe much more than that.

"God, you look awful that day," Fuyumi laughed as she remembered his face. She seriously thought that he fought back then that's why he has so many injuries. However, he actually slipped into a puddle on the way there.
