A man and his wife were fighting one day while their daughter was at school. They had been fighting off and on for months, each fight worse than the last. This time, the man had had enough. He killed his wife and buried her in the backyard.
Although he didn't regret killing his wife, he worried what his daughter would say as she came home. He knew she would notice that her mother wasn't there.
When the man's daughter came home, he waited silently for her question to come. But it didn't.
He didn't want to bring it up, so he just stayed silent and pretended that it was just a normal day.
The next day, the man expected to wake up to his daughter filled with questions about her mother, but again she said nothing.
She'll have to ask eventually, the man thought to himself.
A week had passed, and his daughter was still living her life normally and didn't ask anything about her mother. It was starting to drive the man crazy, and eventually he gathered up the courage to ask her.
"Umm...sweetheart? Haven't you been wondering where mommy is?" He asked awkwardly.
"What do mean? She's been behind you all week,"
