Unfortunate Announcement

Hi all,

I'm sorry to deliver this bad news, but I couldn't keep entertaining the idea that I might suddenly one day regain the motivation and inspiration to write this book out of the blue any longer, and I couldn't just leave you all hanging without an update. I say this with a heavy heart, but I've come to accept that this isn't something I could control. In the last year and a half I haven't had an easy time, which directly affected my ability to write. When I first posted this book, I hardly expected to get ten reads, much less 7.5 thousand, which means it's pretty daunting to feel like I'm letting more than a few people down. Regardless, it's time for me to have a bit of a reality check and share what my headspace is like for this story right now. The last time I was truly excited and looking forward to writing this was more than a year ago, and, knowing how hectic my life will be getting in the coming months and in my general future for a while, I have decided to announce finally that I will not be able to continue this fic. I've left you all hanging for far too long, and for that, I am sorry.

I know mainly what I had wanted to happen in this fic, but those plans are not preserved in a method other than some brief bullet points at the end of the document I spent writing this on. I thought that maybe listing those out in their bullet point format would be enough for your imaginations to fill in the blanks, but now it just kinda seems like it would be insulting or rub salt into the wound. I have one chapter partially written that mainly just has the other characters' reactions to the relationship between Ty Lee and Azula, but it looks like I stopped mid-sentence after 3,500 words, and, according to the version history, that was on August 23rd, 2021. Almost ten months now.

This fic is 52,700 words, typed in countless hours over several months, and, although I can't finish it, I'm a little proud of how much work I put into it regardless of the disappointing outcome. Thank you to all of you who have read this and to those who commented expressing support. This fic helped me through a rather dark time in my life, and you did too. I hope you can understand why completing this book isn't feasible.

Best,

JM
