"CREED party?"
"Yeah."
Ano raw?
May party nanaman?
Parang napaparami yata 'tong mga CREED party ngayong taon. At napaparami na rin ako ng mga party na pinupuntahan ko kasama sina Silas at Aida.
No offense but I'm not really feeling like I want to attend a CREED party right now.
"Kailan naman?"
"Next week." sagot ni Silas sabay lagok ng baso na puno ng mamahalin niyang vodka.
Ang dami ko kayang gagawin. Kailangan ko pang pumili ng isusuot ko sa kasal namin, wala pa nga rin kaming venue kung saan kami ikakasal at kung sino ang iimbitahan namin.
I also need to find other people and have a bachelor's party.
Natandaan ko tuloy nung sinabi sa'kin ni Aida that she would host the bachelor's party for me for fun because she likes those things, tinawanan ko lang siya pero iniisip ko nga lang kung gagawin niya talaga yun.
Does she even know that I'm engaged? Masyado yata siyang busy these days na hindi niya alam kung anong nangyayari sa buhay ko.
"Again?"
"What? May CREED ba tayo this week?"
"This is the second CREED party, Silas. Isn't it weird? Sino naman ang maghohost no'n?" I ask, taking a sip of my coffee.
"You'll know when we get there."
"Alam mo ba o hinde?"
"No, I don't know. I thought you knew but based on your reaction, you don't."
I'm not really sure what this party is going to be about but I know for sure na hindi ako handa para isang party na magaganap next week.
And I know why Silas asked me to come to his place, he wanted me to be his partner.
"C'mon, tell me." simula ko.
"Please?"
"Anong please?" tanong ko na may ngiti sa labi ko.
"Please be my partner for this party and besides... it's time for the world to know that I have changed."
"Bakit? Kasi ikakasal ka na? Ipapakita mo sa mga babae mo na iba ka na at mahal na mahal mo ang fiance mo, ha?" asar ko sa kanya tsaka ako tumayo at nilagok ang buong baso ng kape ko.
Natawa siya sa sinabi ko habang sinasara ang bote ng mamahalin niyang vodka. Akala niya ba 'di ko alam kung ilang mga babae na ang nahalikan niya at naging friends with benefits niya, ha?
Most of them are members of some of the respective families in CREED.
"I'm surprised none of them haven't sued you for harassment."
"Harassment? They threw themselves on me and I'm not what you think I am, Aster. I don't touch a woman unless I have consent, alright?"
"Fine, fine. Kung ano pang pinagsasabi mo, of course ako ang kailangan mong maging partner, you're right that it's time for the world to know about this thing between us."
