Everyone in Dansville it seems like is taking advantage of the nice weather this weekend and decided to come to Stony Brook Park, turning it into a massive party. I'm here with Shane and his family, along with Mama Tina. Mama Tina and Mrs. Wendy know how to keep a crowd and are the life of the party.

I finished washing my hands and left the bathroom. Shane jumped out from behind the barrier, scaring me half to death. I jumped and he laughed. Shane and I have been together three weeks now and things have been great. We've been using condoms since that weekend and lucky for us, I started my period two days ago.

"How's my little ketchup packet?" He teased.

I gave him the death glare. "I can turn you into a ketchup packet with a knife if you don't stop."

His eyes went wide and it was my turn to laugh. We picked on each other all the time and can keep the crowd laughing. Parker always seems jealous, but we choose to ignore it and leave him to work though his emotions.

"Is the food ready?" Shane yelled.

"We're not cooking for an hour. Grab a snack." Mrs. Kingston replied.

Shane grinned and went for a bag of chips. He held one out to me, but I shook my head no. He shrugged and walked back over to me.

"I'm surprised Park and his family aren't here since they are the outdoorsy type." Shane thought out loud.

"Matbe they went hiking." I shrugged, not caring what Parker and his family are doing.

"Who cares?" Shane sighed and we both laughed.

When he finished his chips we decided to link hands and stroll around to enjoy the beauty of the nature here and to see if there's anyone else here we know besides Cate and Francesca. Shane and I both appreciate the sights of nature.

After our second lap and him talking to a few friends from school, we heard screaming in the distance. We looked over and spotted Karl and Tammy arguing in the distance. Her grandparents decided to take the drive and bring Bonnie to spend the day with Tammy, throwing Karl for a loop. Apparently most people think Bonnie is her kid cousin. I guess your girlfriend responding to mom when you didn't think she had a kid would throw anyone for a loop.

"Why wouldn't she tell him about Bonnie?" I asked.

"For the longest, I didn't know Bonnie was hers until she let it slip." Shane replied.

"Why didn't you tell me she was yours?" Karl yelled.

Tammy shrugged. "Because not even my friends knew she was mine!"

Shane grabbed my hand and pulled me away from them. I do not want to ruin our day by listening to them bicker! Shane found a quiet area away from the crowds and we sat on the rock.

"It is beautiful out here." I sighed.

"I'd love to sleep under the stars here." Shane admitted.

"Why don't we?"

Shane looked at me in surprise. "Like go camping?"

I smiled. "No. Like sleeping bags where we hike a trail and camp out where we want."

Shane leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. I blushed. He started kissing me until both our phones started ringing. Mine was Mama Tina and his was his mom, both letting us know the food is ready. We raced back over to the tables where everyone was lining up to eat. Shane and I made ourselves garbage plates and sat at a picnic table with Mama Tina, Mr. Pete, Mrs. Wendy and Abbie. Today is Katie's fifteenth birthday party as well, and everyone just sort of came together. I love this town.
