11. (Secrets Out and In)

The family got a dry throat at the question. They gulped, fighting whether to answer the question or not. It was such a private and wealth stake question. By answering it without knowing the mindset of the other one they couldn't answer it.

You: So, you won't answer huh!?

The queen said, one hand still under her chin. For the other hand, she pointed two fingers stuck together and picked the knife in the air, a maroon-coloured aura around the knife could be seen clearly and threw it towards Melina.

Everyone's eyes widened seeing her pulling stunts, except one person who was still eating peacefully, Tom. He was watching all the drama so entertainingly, unaffected. The knife was about to stab Melina's eye but stopped right at the distance of 0.5 cm with a deep blue aura around it. Jason's fingers could be seen controlling it.

You: So, your family does know black magic.

Jason asked her "Couldn't you ask that simply?". The queen chuckled at that and answered that she asked it nicely only but his family didn't answer her. He annoyedly ducked his head down coz he knew she was right.

After a few minutes when Jason felt that the environment was heated, he decided to change the surroundings to light. So, to change the topic he asked the queen

Jason: You're the queen of Raven Dynasty and yet you wear so simple clothes?

She giggled at that and leaned back slightly. She picked the napkin and wiped her mouth after drinking water. Keeping the glass down she made eye contact with Jason and spoke

You: Not interested in telling everyone that I'm a queen. I have a habit of travelling everywhere and seeing how people behave with commoners.

Jacob was silent for some time he just knew that the girl sitting in front of her son wasn't normal. She was way too powerful than all three of them. He felt a little uneasy as he couldn't speak a single word in front of her.

Soon, with other normal conversations, the dinner was over. Everyone went to their rooms. Jason was a little tense but he believed that he could handle Y/N. Jacob and Melina also went to their room silently as Jacob said he wanted to discuss something with her. 

Meanwhile, no one noticed that Tom and Y/N went together in one room, smiling and laughing, recalling the incident at the dining table. On the other hand, Melina and Jacob sat on the bed sighing, thinking what happened today.

Jacob: Rina said she could be related to God or Devil. 

Melina: Hmm, I remember that. It's clear she's related to devils. Her aura was dark maroon.

Jacob rubbed his forehead. A cloud of thoughts was roaming around his head. Melina patted his back to comfort him. She sat beside him and Jacob gave her a glance.

Melina: I don't think we need to worry Jacob. She also knows that she's our soon to be daughter-in-law. She won't harm any of us.

Jacob: You are saying this! She just threw a knife at your face. You could have been dead if Jason hadn't saved you. You're unbelievable!

He said in a somewhat high-pitched voice. He couldn't control his anxiety. Melina's point of view disturbed him more.  He wanted his family safe and happy and for that he could go to any length. Melina still tried to convince him.

Melina: But I still think that she did that stunt to threaten us, to speak the truth and when she threw the knife, she knew she'd get the answer easily.

Jacob nodded his head slightly giving it a thought. He wasn't fully convinced but still said he's now fine and told Melina to sleep with him now. But he got to sleep with difficulty. But he slept peacefully, for now.

With Y/N:

Well, our queen had a lot of talks with her friend. She was going to sleep in her night gown, blue, silky and comfy. But a knock on the door disturbed both. Her friend laughed a little and asked

Tom: Should I hide?

The queen laughed and slapped him on his arm, shaking her head she mouthed him "Stupid" and went to open the door. The person who knocked was now standing in front of her and widened eyes when she saw Tom inside, on the bed.

She shouted a little, "What are you both doing together?".
