9. (The Party!)

Watching people come he stood on the second floor. Servants doing their work properly. Everyone came and greeted him. But he was lost in someone else's thoughts. His restless fingers expressing his impatience. 

A fake smile showing he didn't want anyone to notice him, eyes regulating around the whole ballroom. Feet tapping on the ground, he waited for only one particular person to arrive, heartbeat increasing like it would pop out of his rib cage.

He knew with his whole heart that his wait was about to over be he just couldn't wait anymore. His mom came just to tell him "Enjoy your birthday son, you'll soon see her." He nodded disheartened. Walking down the stairs he finally greeted the rest of the people very nicely.

Now, it wasn't like he was in the party all the time like some moments ago. He was now busy seeing the arrangements, catering and the rest. Soon the main celebration began. He sat on his throne which was at the end of the hall. With foot on foot, he sat watching people drinking elegantly and some couples dancing.

Soon his father called him to have a little talk with him. Excusing himself, he went to have a li'l chit-chat with Jacob. After around 8 minutes, he came back and sat again. But this time people stopped and started cheering for someone. 

Jason became curious and started peeping to see what's going on in such a short time. The song that was playing changed. The Fairy tale played. He became more curious. He stood up and people made room for him. He sat again as now he could see. 2 people in the center started dancing so gracefully.

Jason was mesmerised by her beauty. It wasn't like the normal one. Her eyes, dark and mysterious, her neck, so elegant and only had a necklace of blood red color, her smile was captivating, so shaped and kissable lips, her legs, so delicate yet strong like a fighter, her waist perfectly shaped, her hands were like ribbon in air, moving so gracefully. 

On top of all that her black dress was doing indescribable magic.

When the dance stopped, everyone clapped Chantily. She bowed oh so nicely to everyone. The way she looked in every direction wasn't a normal gaze. It was so captivating and dominative gaze containing authority.

Not like a heroine but a vamp. Yet she looked so innocent to make anyone trust her within minutes. Soon Jason took his uncontrollable steps towards her. Seeing the king coming to her she stood straight and bowed. 

Suddenly she jerked her head up smelling the air un-noticeably. She looked at King and thanked him as he praised her talent. Later after the praise he was about to go but the girl held his hand in between stopping him, making him turn towards her again.

??: I can smell and feel, you're my mate.

Jason: I thought you wouldn't realise and slap me or feel uncomfortable if I said this suddenly.

Everyone was shocked and confused with their behavior as they were hugging each other. Soon Jason took her hand in his hand and started moving towards the throne. While walking he thought to ask her name as the first priority. 

Jason: What's your name my love?

Smiling mysteriously, she looked at him making his heart stop. She fiddled with the strand coming on her face and put it behind her ear. Looking down again she spoke

You: My name is Y/N Lyford. You didn't recognize me, right?

Jason looked at her with a confused face and questioned eyes. She again giggled cutely and spoke again

You: I'm the queen of Raven Dynasty. The person I was dancing with is my very close friend, like family. My father died in a war and my mother is here with me. And, I'm here coz my dynasty got an invitation to your grand party.

He smiled listening to all this and nodded his head. He whispered "I'll talk about me after the announcement". She looked down and nodded.

Jason stood in front of his throne. He clapped three times and everyone's attention was to them again. He gave a final gaze to the Queen and spoke

Jason: Good Afternoon to all the people present here. As we all know, today is an auspicious day. That's my birthday, but to make to more lovable, valuable and important to me, I've finally found my mate.
Here she stands beside me, Y/N Lyford, the Queen of Raven Dynasty.

Listening to this, everyone started clapping and hooting. The music in the ballroom got the happier one and the drinks were now more consumed. Melina and Jacob stood on the second floor seeing all this. They also became happy that their son finally got his mate and soon he'll be settled.

But is it?

Jason took his steps down and went to Y/N's friend who was talking with a middle-aged woman. He went to them to catch their attention. The 'friend' turned to him and bowed, the king bowed back and asked

Jason: I would love to have your introduction, sir.
