When Michaela was on that plane something happened to Danni. She was at a party. She was drunk and passed out. Some guy violated her. I remember getting the call of a sexual assault investigation I was gonna lead. No idea who the girl was until she showed up at the precinct. She walked up to my desk. "Danni! Hey! What are you doing here? Your off today right?" She nodded and that's when I noticed her eyes were red and puffy. She spoke quietly and her voice was broken. "Yeah. J-J-Jared um..." she whispered the next part "I I'm the girl" my heart skipped a beat. "Oh. Oh my god. Danni. Well I'm sure you know the standard for this stuff. Do you have a r-" she cut me off "can we do this somewhere else? I really don't want anyone knowing. Please" she sniffled. "Oh of course. My house?" "Will Lourdes be there?" "She shouldn't be" "ok" and we walked out of the precinct to my house. We sat down on the couch. "Yes I have a rape kit done. Can I please stay anonymous?" "Sure." Then I heard footsteps behind us and a gasp "D-Danni?" It was Lourdes. Danni immediately started crying. This was all 5 years and 5 and a half months after the plane disappeared. Danni made Lourdes and I swear we would never tell anyone what happened to her. So when Michaela returned Lourdes knew that we couldn't let her know what happened to Danni until Danni was ready. The investigation was still going given it had only been 2 weeks. Danni had started coping with alcohol when Michaela disappeared. When she was off she was almost always at that bar. Somehow it had never gotten out to the rest of the precinct. Michaela always helped Danni. She always helped everyone. In some strange way she always knew what people needed. Lourdes told me Danni had asked her to give her some time and then she'd tell Michaela. "J?" I snapped out of my thoughts. "Oh yeah Mick sorry" she laughed "what's going on in there?" "it's nothing. Just tired is all" I hate lying to Mick. I knew Lourdes did too. I assumed Danni did too. But I'm not sure.
