Part 19

                               TW panic attack + mention of her SA case kinda, brief mention of her tube

Danni POV

I picked up my phone having seen a call from Jared. "Hey what's up?" "Look I know you took some vacation time from work but um, your case? We've got the guy" I heard over the phone. My breath hitched, "what? Y-you have the guy?" "We do. They're setting a court date. Whatever vacation your on you need to be prepared to leave early when they set the court date. I'll text you the date when they make it" "oh uh okay yeah sure J. Thanks" I said trying to keep calm despite being freaked out. Hanging up the phone I let my shaky hands drop it to the floor. Soon my chest tightened. Tears were running down my face and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I heard the door unlock and felt a person at my side although I couldn't see through the waterfall of tears. "Hey hey Danni breathe, breathe with me" I heard Michaela say "Save me Mic" I choked out, clawing at my throat. She grabbed my hands putting them at my sides. "Hey hey look at me, 5 things you see can you tell me that?" "Um, m-my clock, your cl-clothes, m-my shoes, m-my phone, your k-keys" I managed to get out "good job your doing so good, 4 things you can touch can you do that for me?" "The f-floor, my r-rug, the wall,      u-uh the couch?" "Yeah yeah that's it your doing so good can you tell me 3 things you can hear?" "M-my heart, the birds, my neighbors dog?" "Mhm that's good your doing so well Danni, 2 things you can smell?" "Uh um my essential oil defuser scent, your perfume?" "Yeah that's it your doing great. One thing you can taste?" "My toothpaste from this morning" I responded feeling a good bit calmer. "Thanks M. How'd you-" I cut myself off remembering the key I'd given her for emergencies before 828. "The key" she smiled. "Lourdes gave it back when we came back" she said before asking "wanna tell me what the panic attack was about?" "My case, they have the guy, they're setting up a court date" I responded fidgeting with my hands to keep calm. "Oh my god that's amazing. He's gonna be in jail for a long time Danni he won't be able to hurt you in court either." "I-I know I'm just scared because of my tube. What's the department gonna think when they see it?" "D they won't think anything, it's perfectly normal to struggle at one point or another, it'll be fine" she responded to my question. "Thanks M." "Anytime D anytime"

Hey here's another chapter, I know it's short and I'm sorry but with 1.3k reads I felt like I should get a part out. God having that many reads feels so unreal. Anyone notice the title in the chapter? Suggestions? Opinions? Also just fyi the panic attack I described here is incredibly severe so do not think that if you have panic attacks that are no where near as bad that they are not valid, they are still incredibly valid.
