Hidden Brothers

Chapter 6

"Naruto...."

The said 19 year old looks up to the familiar face of his master, curiosity visible on his yet still childish face. The now 59 year old Toad Sage sits next to the teen, breathing out with a smile.

Not even 24 hours ago had they came across each other during dinner with the Tsukikage and the long lost Uchiha Kianza, who happened to fidged Sasuke's death and raised the said preteen now. From what Sasuke told him, Jiraiya came to the village for an S-rank meeting with the Tsukikage.

What he wants from her remains unknown but Naruto could see that it is something that Jiraiya needs for his own reasons.

"What's up, pervy Sage....." Naruto replies, which Jiraiya sweat drops at the usual name

"Just wanna see how you're holding up....." Jiraiya grins before looking at the sky ".... Still worry about them?"

"Yeah....." Naruto sighs sadly

"Have no doubts, kiddo....." Jiraiya said with comfort, ruffling the striking blonde hair lightly "They'll be fine as long as their cilent is not with them....."

".... What's so special about this village anyway....." Naruto huffs "It's just a village to me...."

"Ah, that's where you are wrong....." Jiraiya said before looking at the koi pond not far from them "See that koi pond?"

"Yeah?" Naruto trails off with a raised brow

"What do you see on the surface of it??" Jiraiya asks

".... Sparkles from the sunlight reflected on it....." Naruto replies "Pervy Sage, I don't understand where you are coming from....."

"It's a little complicated to explain..... But in the simple way, the Tsukikagure bears a very, very special water area....." Jiraiya replied "It is said that all of its water, even that koi pond holds a secret power within..... There were rumours that it is so powerful, that it can even save a dying newborn...."

And that caught Naruto's attention to a surprise, disbelief clear on his face as Jiraiya continues to look at the pond.

"You may not believe it.... So do I as well....." Jiraiya replies "That's the reason why I came here on my own, to learn about this special water within this nation....."

"Was there any prove??" Naruto asks

"As far as I know, only the villagers here know...." Jiraiya replies "Even so, they won't give me anything about it.... That's why I went to see the Tsukikage since she's a pure blood Hikari..... Only the Hikari village can tell the special secrets that each and every nation holds...."

"Then....." Naruto continues with a dry throat ".... What about knowing that Uchiha Kianza is here..... And his brother....."

".... I knew about the fake death...."

"Nani!!!"

"It was their father who told me..... Hours before his death, he came to me and told me of the elimination of the Uchiha clan....." Jiraiya replies, looking seriously at Naruto "He asked me for help.... To bring Kianza and Sasuke to another village where no one knows....."

Flashback

Soft gasps left one 16 year old Uchiha Kianza as he looks back at Konoha gates, holding a sleeping 7 year old Sasuke close to him. A rustle startles the anxious teen and he looks around in alarm.

"Easy there, kid..... I'm with you...."

Sapphire eyes widen as a younger Jiraiya stepped out with a dim look, the sorrow and pity visible as he looks at the surviving brothers.

"J-Jiraiya-san......" Kianza whispers

"Your father asked me for help hours ago....." Jiraiya said softly ".... For him to die hours later..... Anyway, I'm going to take both of you to safety...."

".... Where?" Kianza asks cautiously

"I can't be sure...." Jiraiya answers "But I'll take you to a village that we don't know at all....."

Flashback end

"And so we walked....." Jiraiya continues "We walked and walked until dawn..... Until we came across the Tsukikage, who was in the middle of developing the village..... Hearing our stories with my confidence of her birth rights, she took them in as her own children.... That was the last time that I ever saw them..... Until now....."

"Then what about Sasuke...." Naruto pressed on ".... Does he know the truth behind it?"

"I can't be sure....." Jiraiya sighs "But I can only tell.... That what Kianza told you is true....."

"Why would you say that?" Naruto asks

"Because....." Jiraiya said, looking at Naruto firmly "If it was Kianza, Sasuke would truly be dead that night...."
