Darkness shield his sight and a gasp left his lips, eyes shut at the harsh force of the unknown explosion. The loudness deafened his ears for a moment, drowning the shouts of shock and alarm from his comrades.

Focusing his chakra into his range, Kianza starts to sense the culprits escaping from their hiding and flee into the dark. Silence went still around him before he deemed safe and his hearing regains its control.

"Hikari!!! Are you okay!!???"

"There!!!"

"Oh my- Who is that!!??"

"He's bleeding!!!"

Kianza soon decides to open his eyes. His vision blurred but he soon made outlines. He looks up to Aka-

Only to see blood, as dark as the source of Aka's own name.

"A-Aka!?!?"

Heavy coughs left the said man, blood spreading further around them. Kianza quickly, but cautiously lifts both himself and Aka. 3 pair of eyes widen as Kianza held the ghostly pale man in blood, knowing that the amount of blood around the duo gave out the sickening sign of fading.

"N-No....." Kianza whispers shakily, quickly turning to his teammates "Get the first aid!!!"

"It's no use..... Kiddo...." Aka hoarse out weakly, coughing violently and his blood splatter out of his lips

"Don't you dare say that, Aka!" Kianza said angrily and begins his healing jutsu "You're going to make it....."

"I lost too much...." Aka whispers with a weak smile, earning wide eyes "There is nothing you can do....."

"No.... No, Aka..... You can't....." Kianza gasps softly "Not after Menma's birth..... He can't lose you now!"

"Life is harsh, Kianza...." Aka chuckles ".... I'm not the only one who is going to die as a father for only 2 months....."

"Aka...." Kianza said shakily

"Do me a favor....." Aka said softly as tears fall ".... Keep walking that path..... Live your life to the fullest...... And protect those who are still with you...."

"And Menma....."

".... When he becomes a shinobi....." Aka smiles ".... Tell him that I'm proud of him..... And l'm grateful to be his father...."

".....Gomenasai....." Kianza whispers shakily, hugging Aka as his body shook with grieve

"No problem....." Aka said softly "..... Kianza..... Never forget your promises...... Ari..... Ga..... T-"

Kianza never hear the rest of it, because Aka has died in his arms. Before his teammates. Before the silent night. Before the silent forest.

And before his own eyes once more.

Tsukikagure Gates....

Silence tensed between Naruto, Shikamaru and Sai as they watch the gates pull open, there awaiting the Tsukikage, her guards and a young female with long blonde hair.
