Silence remain the main presence in the Tsukikage's room, with the exception of the sounds of a pen touching paper. Hikari Midori silently writes out one report after another, her hands expertly moving fast.
A soft knock finally caught her attention and she looks up, smiling as Kianza enters but then frowns when she sees the disorientated look on his young, delicate face.
"Did something happened??" She asks
"No..... But I wish to talk to you about something personal....." Kianza replies "Do you have a moment, Kaa-san?""Of course, Kian....." Midori replies with a smile "Have a seat....."
The young adult obeyed and sat across her, both eyes meeting. Midori couldn't help but think back the wonderful 6 years that passed since she took them in, how she loved every day raising them as her own. Even discovering that Kianza had Hikari parents, she trained him personally that he instantly progressed.
He had done so many things as well even when she didn't want him to do, as she had done so much for him. All the years before Tsukikagure, she had always believed that the Uchiha clan is heartless, prideful and rude to anyone other than their own blood. When the Uchiha brothers were brought to her that day with the Toad Sage, she immediately didn't want to believe them out of past beliefs.
It took 6 months for thr once teenager to prove her wrong. She watched day by day as Kianza worked hard to the core.
The scratches and bruises from intensive teaching to young Jounin graduates, the extreme exhaustion that lingered from him as he returns each day. The time he wasted away in late nights to prepared interesting lessons for the children. The long periods he spent in the once bars and dead fields that soon grew harvests for the first time.
She even remembered receiving countless reports of his admittance to the medical centre and the silent cries that the younger brother shed at everything he wasn't allow to help. That gave her more than enough to see the honesty in them.
And 6 year later, she is proud to be their mother. For everything the young man before her had done, she'll do anything to make them happy with the best she can.
"What can I help you with, Kian??"
"...... I wish to return to Konoha....."
A sudden rush of ice went through her heart the moment the words processed in her mind. Shock fill her as she stares at the raven.
"..... I....." Kianza begins slowly, wetting his lips "..... I'm tired of hiding....."
To Kianza, he feared for his adopted mother's reaction to his words. He feels guilty that he wants to return back after all she had done for him and Sasuke. He knew that she had grown to love them, as they had too. Deep inside his heart, he knew that it must be done for it is what he needs to do.
If it means to repeat the hardest way again.
"..... I understand......"
His head snaps up so fast that he thought it would break at that sudden movement and force, his eyes staring with bewilderment at the smiling Midori.
".... I know what you mean, Kian...." Midori said softly
"..... But......" Kianza begins "..... Aren't you mad at me....."
"..... You know, Kian..... Being a single parent is never easy......" Midori begins slowly, looking out at the clear sky "..... Each day we spent together means everything to me, even if it is at its worst moment..... But I enjoyed it..... And when I first met you, I didn't know if I can trust you while I had my hands full with the change for the village..... But you had done so much not only me but the entire village, we couldn't think of ways to thank you.... You came here for your father's dying hopes.... You learned so many things within this land that we raised together...... Even now that you asked me of returning to Konoha..... I know well that deep down inside you, the bond you held here couldn't be ignored....."
"Kaa-san....." Kianza breathes out shakily as Midori got up and stand before him, pulling into a tight embrace as tears fall from his eyes
"Do what you must, Kian..... Just remember......" Midori whispers softly "No matter what..... You will always be my son..... And you'll always be a shinobi of Tsukikagure....."
"Hai....."

Soon after announcing the news to both Naruto and Sasuke, the trio packed up for Konoha. Kianza, as much as he couldn't want to leave Tsukikagure, decided to take 3 month stay in Konoha. After all, he wishes for his brother to experience life as a Konoha shinobi.
Midori had sent out a letter to the Hokage to alert their arrival, with the exception of mentioning that the other two following Naruto is actually the Uchiha brothers.
And now they stand at the gates of Tsukikagure, facing Midori in her Tsukikage robes and hat.
"Thank you for your hospitality, Tsukikage-sama....." Naruto said with a bow
"It's nothing, Naruto..... Take care of them for me, hm?"
"Hai!"
".... This is goodbye for now...." Kianza said with slight pain, feeling Sasuke holding his shaky hand
"..... Hai....." Midori smiles sadly "...... I'll see you soon......"
"..... Kaa-san....."
Without hesitation, the Uchiha brothers embrace Midori tightly. Naruto smiles sadly at the warm sight before they pull away.
"..... Take care....."
With that, the trio vanished in thin air.
