Hey guys!

I hope you guys are enjoying it as it progresses further and further! So far, I'm making slow progress with "Two Lives, One Bond" with certain reasons that is common when you watched the show only once and had not watched for a couple of years since its release. So right now, I've completed and published the second chapter. I'm now working on the next chapter so watch out for that!

BOOM! CRASH! BOOM!

"Everyone please remain calm and move quickly to the safe houses ahead!! Keep your children close and seek out for assistance for the elderly and disabled!!"

"Do not be afraid as we can ensure you a strong security in safety!! Please cooperate with us for a safe journey to the safe houses!!"

"Team 2 and Team 3, scout the residence and escort any civilians safely to the safe houses!! Team 5, help any of the injured you see and make them your top priority to get them medical attention!!"

"Defense Team 3, assist Defense Team 7 with the barrier!! Let nothing of the rumbles reach this ground we stand!!"

Harden eyes belonging to Nara Shikamaru looks around the path before him, watching each and every soul moving along to their expecting tasks. Every burning and non burning buildings around him and blurs of his fellow comrades passing back and forth. His mind processing everything around him alongside the news that broke to him through Ino's mind jutsu.

(What a drag..... Akatsuki is suddenly attacking the village...) Brown eyes dart around once more (By the looks of it, there are only 4 of them within sight.... But none of them is Pein of the Rinnengan.... What the hell are after? Is it Naruto they're after? Iie.... With this many of them without Pein, it couldn't possibly be Naruto....)

"Nara-kun!!!"

The said ninja snaps his head upward just in time to catch sight of a very familiar Uchiha jumping down to his side, surprising Shikamaru with the scratches and bruises lingering on his figure.

"What happened to you!?" Shikamaru asks before finally noticing the smoke from the Hokage Tower "The Hokage-"

"Is all right along with everyone inside...." Kianza replies "The Akatsuki attempted a bomb attack at the tower.... I took most of the blow protecting the Hokage...."

"Most!? You hardly look like you have any critical wounds!" Sapphire eyes narrow into a glare at the currently blunt lazy genius next to him

"It's rather funny that you have the best medic also known as one of the 3 Legendary Sannin as your Hokage...."

Kianza rolls his eyes when Shikamaru blinks rapidly before realization drops on him. With a sigh, Kianza pulls out a beige wristband covered with a foreign seal and wears it to his wrist as Shikamaru looks back at him slowly.

"Enough with the chit chat for now and let's focus on what is happening around us...." Sapphires flash under the bright light before the famous Sharingan replace them "Are there any news from the others on the rescue team?"

"The teams on the North and East has been cleared of the citizens to the safe houses..... South still has citizens hiding or stuck within the rumbles of the buildings and most of the battle is happening at the center...." Shikamaru quickly fills in, regaining his usual shinobi mode "We have no casualties so far, but the defense and attack teams are struggling at the center..... We have failed numerous of times to contact them for the enemy's identification.... It seems that the enemies aren't any of the Akatsuki members...."
