Scarlets POV
"Right im going out" my dad said, "dressed in your best outfit its not another girl is it?" I asked. "Im sure you would love that but nope I have an audition, don't go out remember youre grounded" he said. "Yeah dad whatever" I replied stirring my cornflakes, "I mean it scarlet you leave this house I will extend how long youre grounded for" he said. "I said whatever you don't want to be late now do you" I said.
"Sort the attitude out scarlet" he said, I scoffed as he left shutting the front door behind him. So im stuck here bored out of my brain, with no phone or ipad. I sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. I heard the doorbell ring as I sighed and went to answer it, I pulled it open and saw dante standing on the doorstep.
"What do you want?" I said, "to explain can I come in?" he asked. "Theres nothing to explain, I know you slept with verity I saw you getting pretty cosy with her in the park" I replied. "I didn't sleep with her scarlet she was shes a friend that's all. She was helping me with something" he said.
"You've got 5 minutes" I said stepping aside to let him in, I stood in the hallway as he stood in front of me. "Well carry on then what was verity supposedly helping you with?" I asked. "With this" he said handing me a box, "whats that?" I asked taking it from him. "Open it and see" he replied, I lifted the lid and say a sliver band with engraved hearts round it.
"Whats this for?" I asked, "Its a promise ring. Means im yours, id never stray from you" he told me. "She helped you choose this?" I asked, he nodded . "Its nice but I cant accept it" I said holding it out to him. "I want you to have it, I have no need for it" he replied. "Fine well your 5 minutes are up" I told him, "Of course well good luck and I hope you find someone to treat you right" he said.
He headed out of the open door as I watched him leave, tear filled my eyes as I sniffed and wiped them away. I felt as though my life was falling apart around me, my heart shattered into millions of pieces as I shut the door and leant against it. I need to get out of here, I need to go.
I ran up the stairs two at a time and ran into my room, I dragged my suitcase out and started shoving clothes in it. I knew I had some money in my account, it should be enough for a hotel for a few nights. I collected some other things and looked back at my room, I shoved some pillows in the bed so it looked like I was asleep. I shut the door and headed out into the street. I knew there was a hotel about an hours walk away from mine as I headed towards it.
I stepped into the gold and glass foyer and up to the desk. "Can I help you?" the woman behind the desk asked, "yes id like to book a room for a few days" I replied. "Card or cash?" she asked, "card" I replied handing it to her. She swiped it and handed me a key, "thanks" I replied heading for the elevator. It got to the right floor as I walked up the corridor and found my room.
I stuck the key in the lock and pushed the door open, it was oak wood and cream inside. With a cream sofa and marble tables and worktops, a big TV and some massive kitchen. I dropped my jacket to the floor and found the bedroom, queen sized beds, soft and deep with feather filled duvets and pillows. To the left of the room there was a en suite bathroom. I left my suitcase and fell onto the bed, it was so soft.
I pulled the promise ring from my pocket and traced the etched hearts round the band. It was pretty but she helped pick it and he still hung out with her. I dropped it onto the bed and ran my hands over my face, I wondered what my dad was doing right now. I couldn't deal with the fact I had disappointed him, I couldn't see any other option than to go.
I know he will be worried but its much easier this way, he can be happy with liz and without me. I know that space is needed for the both of us, time apart might calm him down. Ether that of he will loose his mind worrying about me.
