Tommys POV
"Scarlet im home!!!" I shouted as I walked through the door, I got no answer. Maybe she had her headphones on, I walked up the stairs and knocked on her bedroom door. There was no answer, I gently pushed the door open. There was a lump in the bed, looked like she was sleeping. I left her to it and headed downstairs, liz walked in from work.
"Hey" I said, "hey handsome" she replied walking over to me and wrapping her arms over my shoulders. "Good day?" I asked pulling her close, "yes" she replied leaning forwards and kissing me passionately. Her tongue slipped through my parted lips as he fingers tangled in my hair. "So what are we doing for dinner?" she said nipping my ear.
"We could all go out for dinner" I replied, "I guess so but desert is you" she said winking. "I better go and wake scarlet then" I replied, "im going to get changed" she told me. I made my way back up the stairs and into scarlets room. I gently shook the lump in the bed as a pillow fell to the floor.
I pulled back the duvet and gasped, I ran into all the rooms upstairs calling scarlets name. She wasn't anywhere to be found, liz appeared at the top of the stairs. "Shes gone liz scarlets gone!!" I shouted running down the stairs and checking them rooms. "She cant have gone too far I'll check the garden" she said running in the opposite direction.
I was angry that she had gone out even though I told her not to, liz ran back inside. "Shes not there" she said, "im going out to find her" I said. "I'll come, you search one way i'll search the other we meet back here in 2 hours" she suggested. "Ok, I have my phone ring me if you find her" I said kissing her cheek before we headed off in 2 separate directions.
I walked for miles around the park and into town, all the places I thought she could be. I couldn't find her anywhere, I sat on a bench and ran my fingers through my hair. Maybe I was too hard on her, maybe I should have acted differently. I heard rushed footsteps come towards me, "hey tommy" a voice said as I looked up and saw adam with some guy. Their hands were interlinked, he was shorter than adam. Less muscly, same blue eyes with a nose ring and shaved hair with a long bit.
"Hey" I said half heartedly, adam and the blonde exchanged glances. "Sauli did you want to head to the off licence i'll catch you up in a minute yeah babe?" he asked. The blonde nodded before giving adam a smacking great kiss on the lips. I watched the blonde walk away as adam sat next to me, "whats happened?" he asked.
"Scarlets gone, shes run away I cant find her anywhere" I said swallowing the lump in my throat. "She cant have got far have you rung her?" He asked. "Further than her phone I took it away from her because of her fight with verity" I replied. "Oh" he replied, "im a terrible father. I shouldn't have been so hard on her, shes run away from home because of me" I said as a stray tear slid down my cheek.
"Don't think like that tommy, shes a teenager. Shes probably just cooling off somewhere. You know what kids are like, she'll be home in a few hours acting like nothings happened. Youre a good dad, don't ever think otherwise" he replied catching the tears with his finger.
His touch against my cheek made me shiver, my insides clenched as I held my breath. His blue eyes were so clear you could get lost in them, his sculptured cheekbones with whispy bits of his hair falling over his forehead. His cheeks slightly flushed and his peach lips parted slightly. Those peach lips, my mind ran wild as images of his lips against mine filled my head.
I gently bit my lip as he ran his fingertips over my cheek,I leant towards his touch as he pulled his gaze from my face and cleared his throat removing his hand from my face. "I better erm go, I hope you find scarlet" he said standing up, he almost ran away his cheeks flushed from embarrassment. I stared after him entranced, my mid drifted back to the here and now. "Shit scarlet" I said standing up and carrying on my search.
I cant believe I almost kissed him, god I need to get a grip. But those eyes, they were like a lake shimmering in the moonlight. No tommy youre married, your not gay! I rolled my eyes and looked at my phone, it was gone midnight. I wasn't going to find scarlet tonight, I reluctantly headed home. Liz was standing on the doorstep, "didn't find her then?" I asked.
"No I looked everywhere" she replied as I unlocked the door and walked inside, "well its late im going to head to be are you coming?" she asked. "Maybe later" I answered, "ok babe" she said kissing my forehead. She headed upstairs as I sat on the sofa and braced myself for a sleepless night..
