You wake up feeling dizzy and sporadic in an unfamiliar place, tied to a wooden chair. Candles barely lit up the dim room, making it difficult to see anything. You have no idea how much time has passed or what time of day it was anymore. All you could think of at that moment was how you failed Loki by transgressing his demands once again, though more importantly getting captured this time. The longer you sat there the more your mind began to race: I failed! It's over! I'm scared and lost all alone, I don't have Loki with me! He's probably worried about where I am! Where the hell even am I-!

Before you could finish the next thought, you heard a raspy growl state your name. It causes chills to run down your spine, leaving you more confused than ever. From the shadows emerges a dark figure whose intentions were anything far from good. "Ahh...My sweet abundant Green Daylily--," they said as a hand gradually caressed your right arm.

"Who are you!?" you interrupted with a shaky voice.

"I have kept a vigilant eye on you, for I am the one you keep meeting on this journey. The old lady with the dog on Midgard, Yuki with the horse. It's all been me. I shape shifted to get closer to you." His twelve-footish silhouette leaned closer revealing his blue skin completion and diabolical red eyes. He was none other than a Jötunn. "You will give us the relic!" He wailed, "Let the Aesir feed you full of lies!"

"What are you going to do with me?" You squirm in fear as he was now face-to-face with you. Dumbfounded by the knowledge that everyone you've stumbled upon was a lie. They weren't some random citizen. They were a Jötunn giant the whole time with intentions to hurt you.

"Patience child, you will wait and see," He hissed, "Now that I finally have you, we can go back to Jötunheimr."

You panic on the inside as he unties you from the chair. You close your eyes shut for a quick moment, and by the time you open them back up, you notice the Jötunn has transformed into a six-foot, average-looking Vanir man. His grip tightens and tugs forcefully on your wrists, making you feel uneasy and even more afraid. The stranger puts a cloth in your mouth, restricting your voice from any pleas. He leads you outside, the rays from the sunshine illuminating brightly beyond the horizon, letting you know only a couple of hours idled by since blacking out. Through the corner of your eye, you witness two ravens fly down from a tree branch, giving your engagement to a nearby farmstead that had additional sorts of chickens. This one rooster, in particular, kept catching your attention, his silk black feathers glowed in the sun. It seemed like the point you detected him, he glimpsed at you too because the rooster started chasing after you and the kidnapper.

The rooster raced like a bat out of Helheim, vaulting off a barrel in a desperate attempt for flight. He attacks the kidnapper by scratching his face with his piercing talons which knocked the man off balance, releasing the grasp he had on you. Everyone tumbled into a deeper province of the woodland along the outskirts of Holldalia, completely hidden from the residents. During the fall you see the man is once again the Jötunn and the rooster is now Loki. At the end of the collapse, a rock hits your head, causing you to faint.

"Wow, you're very light-headed, huh?" A familiar voice said. Your eyes open to a campfire in front of you still on the edge of the forest with Loki sitting on the other side, badly injured.

"W-what happened?"

"You disobeyed me that's what happened." He snapped.

"I'm sorr-"

"This is why I don't involve myself with petty mortals...I don't see how my brother favors them." Loki began to rant. "First I say don't wander off and LOOK WHAT YOU DID! I can't believe I allowed myself to let you go, to begin with--!"

"LOKI!!" There was a small pause, "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?"

"I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU, FOR SEVEN YEARS!!"

"WHAT!?"

"The Askaba... it's starting to affect time. It was affecting the god's and goddess's powers, now there is a ripple in time, it's warping and creating new wormholes...When you left to find Jon something took over your body, putting it into a coma-like state. You were only knocked out cold for two hours in a different timeline, but missing seven years in my timeline. With this ripple forming, it's attracting more Jötunns to your location, making it a greater risk. (Name), if they capture you and bring you to Jötunheimr it could create Ragnarök."

It took you some time to process all this information at once. You didn't know how to feel or what to feel. Everything seemed to spin faster and faster when it was ouch...just your head. It pounded, for all it has recently gone through...You took several deep breaths from the diaphragm, in and out, in and out...

"So...I've been missing...for seven years..?"

"That is correct. Well sort of, you were, but now that the timeline is aligning back accordingly, you've been missing for two hours." Loki scanned over your body, seeing the permanent seven-year age gap boosting you to around your later twenties.

"I still don't get it, but more importantly, how are your injuries?" You change the subject.

"I'll be okay," Loki said with a small grin.

You stood up and curled into Loki's chest around the fire wishing none of this had happened. If you followed through with orders there would have never been a seven-year gap, Loki wouldn't be injured, and everything would have been fine. You lost yourself in introspection staring at the fire until you heard Loki break the silence.

"I am sorry for losing my temper when you woke up earlier, I was so mad for what had happened and even angrier at the fact you left me for over half a decade. I should have been more grateful that I actually did find you...saved you actually from the Jötunn. I fear that won't be the last we see of him which means we need to get that crystal out of your arm even faster now."

"Before I passed out I could have sworn I saw Jon. He was just out of my reach."

"Good, that means he is near."

"Wait, Loki, you have never seen Jon since I've been gone for so long?"

"No...I was too busy looking for you," said Loki. You blushed and your heart began to skip beats when he said that. It blew you away with how much he cared. He grabbed you tightly, "Please don't leave me like that again."

"I have no plans to." You smiled.

"We'll continue our adventure tomorrow and keep looking for Jon. Let's get some sleep for now."

"I couldn't agree more." You said while leaning into Loki for more warmth.

You couldn't help but break the silence. "Hey, Loki..."

"Yes?"

"Did you know that the people we've met weren't real? And that it was the Frost Giant?"

"I had my suspensions."

"And you didn't say-"

"You can't trust everyone." Loki cut you off and his eyes narrowed.
