Bending down towards the ground, you rubbed the dirt onto your fingers, bringing it close to your nose, and sniffed it. "Are you sure this is Vanaheim?"
"Most definitely."
"How are you for certain?"
"I sense it in the air, I'm not welcome here."
"Why do the people of this realm hate you so much?"
"It's a long story."
"Oh..."
"Anyway. Hey, guess what, we're now one step closer to the end."
You sighed "Yeah, you're right."
To make the journey less saddening, you decided to play around the forest, try to loosen up, and enjoy the time while you two tried to find your way out and into town. So you began to skip and spin in circles, goofing off, hoping that these last few moments with the guy that you sometimes admitted you have feelings for would count, and maybe...just maybe he will enjoy it with you too. Continuing to mess around, you kept staring at Loki. He took notice and gave you a serious look back. "Will you act your age?"
"Can I have some fun?"
"Is this another one of the side effects?" Loki teased.
"Haha," You said with sarcasm. "Let me enjoy this new realm!"
Loki rolled his eyes and warned you to stop. Instead, you did the opposite, but it got a little out of hand and you bumped into him. You hit the ground and gasped. "What did I tell you?!" Loki snapped, then let out a small laugh as he loosened up a bit. You as well laughed while he helped you up. The sounds of Loki's laughter echoed in the air. You didn't mean to, in particular, you didn't even see until it was too late, that you had turned your head to stare. As soon as you saw him, you were blushing, embarrassed by your own instinct to find him yet transfixed all the same. You glanced away quickly, telling yourself the way that his shoulders shake when he chuckles isn't that endearing at all. You wipe the smile off your face. Nope, not at all endearing. The sparkle returned to his eyes and you glowed in awe at his presence all over again. You just couldn't help it at this point.
"What will you do after I am gone?" You change the subject to a more serious topic.
"Get my powers back."
"Yeah, but I mean when you get back to Asgard...you know, back to your people."
"Oh, I don't know, I guess daily stuff. Cause a little mischief here and there. What about you? What will you do once you return to Earth?"
"Thinking back, to when I went to space and different realms, with this one certain crazy dark-haired man who helped me."
Silence then came while you two journeyed on, for Loki was speechless about what to say next.
You felt as if you needed to take hold of his hand, but you knew that it would be out of place. You and he could never be together. You had to get back to Earth, be with family, friends, college, and Midgard stuff. The thought saddened you. You did miss Earth it's just that you began to feel a certain way about Loki...no he is not to be a part of your life. Just this one simple mission and things can go back to normal. Yet again it will be hard to forget him and this adventure, but no it will never happen, you will never see this god again.
