"Um, what did you need," I asked.
"I need to your ID sir, that's the whole point of the blockade," the security guard said.
"Uh, here," I showed Denise's ID.
The security looked at the photo, then looked back at me.
"Uh says here you're a women," the security guard said.
"That's before the transformation okay," I said.
A few more looks but the security guard gave me back the ID card.
"Any reason why you have a hoodie and mask on," he asked.
"Im sick," I said.
"Oh, get away from me, you can go now," then the security guard let me go.
Driving back to the cabin, I was relived. With that once I entered the cabin, Denise was at the kitchen table.
"Hey what took you so long to get back," Denise asked.
"First off where did you go," I asked her.
"I was down at my buddies boat fishing," she said. "I'm making salmon tonight. Anyway what took you so long."
"Police blockade, asked for everyone's ID when we got to the checkpoint," I explained.
"And you used my ID to get through the blockade," Denise asked.
"Yeah," I said.
"Well okay then, I don't want the police the confiscate that shit. That ID is the only way we can be in Neopal Ctiy without having the feds hunt down our asses," Denise said.
As I put the supplies down I went to the kitchen pantry and grabbed some cereal.
"Also I've been meaning to ask, Timmy before you began living here, where did you used to live," Denise asked.
"I already told you, I'm from France," I said.
"You don't look French," Denise said.
"My parents are Asian," I said.
"Oh, I remember you telling me this before," Denise said.
"Yes many times," I said.
"My memory must be getting now," Denise said.
JENNIE POV
"Jennie come here," my friend said.
"What is it Foxtrot," I asked.
"Come here, look at the footage on 68 interstate freeway," Foxtrot said.
They showed the footage within the last 24 hours.
"This is the security footage of the police blockade," Foxtrot showed. "Now look at this car."
I saw a car with a hoodie and a mask on getting through the checkpoint.
"Alright, what am I seeing here," I asked. "They got through the checkpoint, didn't they."
"I scanned the ID and it read as Denise Clemons, 44 year old women."
As I'm looking closely at the picture, and the ID something seemed off about it.
"Denise has no criminal record, why would she want to cover her face. Cameras would've picked up nothing," I said. "Unless.....someone else is using it."
Reviewing the security footage, the car at the blockade was there a bit longer before leaving the blockade.
"Foxtrot, pull up cameras on the 68 interstate freeway. I wanna see where this car is going," I asked.
"But the boss wants us on the immigrant smuggling case," Foxtrot said.
"It's alright, the task force has enough numbers. Now where is the car going," I asked.
