Chapter 14: Gambit

JUNGKOOK POV

We were on the streets, since no building will hold us. Well not me, Jimin and Hope could get in. Anyway, while we were in Vegas we headed into a strip mall. Of course I needed to cover up and hide in those casinos. Most kingpins love or hand out there. Task force would not want to mess with these guys. It was just like the last time we were in Vegas, I had to go undercover. Only this time in the main target. As I headed in I went over to one of those table games with Hope and put in at least 10,000$ worth of chips. I don't care if I win I just need to be in the game until task force doesn't catch me.

"Hope, I need to tell you something," I asked her.

"What is it," she said.

"While we were driving to Vegas, I had a dream," I said.

"A nightmare," Hope said.

"Not sure yet, but I was dreaming that I was blackbird again."

Hope leaned in to listen.

"Your father had just called me into his office and explained something. Likes doomsday device whenever he died," I said to Hope. "He told me that he's placed well hidden bombs within the earths crust."

"You're telling me this now," Hope said.

"It was dream," I said.

"Dream or memory," Hope said. "That does sound like something my father would do."

"Anyway, the question I gave him was why. And he responded with if I can't have the world, no one can," I said.

After a few minutes at the table. It was our turn and we rolled the dice.

"Nice we won," I said.

"Jungkook, I'm worried now," Hope said.

"About what," I replied.

"About your dream, you said it yourself, you were brainwashed," Hope said.

"Are you saying the doomsday thing is real," I asked.

"Maybe, there's only way to find out," Hope added.

"There's not way, task force would've found the file and cleaned it up by now," I said.

"You sure," Hope said. "My father had many secrets. We need to tell the others that you found that out."

"Okay even if I tell them, where would we find proof that this is not just my dream and actually real," I said.

"Jungkook I have a place in mind, if you know what I'm talking about," Hope said.

"No, no way am I going back there. That place is torture, I'm not going back to underground 0," I said.

"But that was the main base, you know and I know that we need to figure this out," Hope said.

"I just, I don't want you to get hurt again," I said.

Slowly we looked at each other and held each other's hand.

"Don't worry, I'm not," Hope said.

Just as the game was finished we saw how many chips we had. Hope and I ended up leaving the chips behind, noticing the people and how quickly they made a dog pile getting our stuff. Anyway we met up with Jimin and RM.

"Where we're you guys at," I asked.

"Nothing much just checking out the casino and everything," Jimin said.

"Uhh guys," I pointed out.

JENNIE POV

"There they are," I yelled.

"RUN" I heard Jungkook scream.

Foxtrot and I chased after them throughout the casino. The group split into two with Jungook and that girl running on one side and RM and Jimin running the other way.

"You go that way," I directed Foxtrot to get Jimin and RM.

Jungkook and them were running out of the building and out on the streets. We were running through the Vegas traffic, cars honking and stopping at us.

JUNGKOOK POV

I looked back for a split second and saw Jennie pull out her gun and begin shooting at us.

"Shit," I said.

"Keep running," Hope said.

Soon enough we saw that Jimin and RM we're heading our way with Jennie's partner right behind them. My eyes kept looking forward dodging her bullets. The Eiffel towel in Vegas. All four of us headed up the building and out onto the roof. Jennie and her partner caught up to us and we were caught in a stalemate.

"No where to go," she held her gun at us and so her partner.

"Nowhere to go for you too," I said and all four of us drew our weapons.

"I will shoot you," Jennie said in anger.

"Jennie I'm not goin to hurt you, I'm not going ti pull my trigger," I said.

Slowly both sides pulled down their weapons. I thought that was it, until Jennie ran to me and began fighting. Jimin and I were fighting back, throwing punches at each other.

"JUNGKOOK!!" Hope yelled.

"Hope, stay away from me," I said.

As soon as I got Jennie off of me and threw he to the ground, her partner went over and grabbed me. I tried to get of of them, but they got a grip and pushed to the edge. My hair hanging from the ledge.

"Let go of me," I said.

"Blackbird, you're under arrest," they said.

That is when I saw Hope run over to me.

"Get off of him," she said.

Hope pushes them off the building. Plummeting down to the ground.

"FOXTROT!!" Jennie yelled.
