Chapter 19: Doomsday Pt. 1

JENNIE POV

Throughout the coming weeks, we've been preparing for our takeover in Caruso. Hope claims that it's a town that is dangerous, but I checked the GPS, the town looks like a regular old town.

"Jennie, we're going to departure soon," the chief said.

We got almost every agent around the globe for this one town. When it was time for us to leave I got into a helicopter with other task force agents and we made our way to Caruso.

JUNGKOOK POV

I heard a bunch of vehicles drive away from the facility. From the guards they said that they were heading into Caruso. Hope has told me all about Caruso. How she grew up there. For most of her childhood it was great. Then military forces the place to become a factory for nuclear weapons productions. One day she told me a bomb had leaked in radiation and the whole town either died or got sick of it. Anyway as I sat on my bed, I turned on my TV to see what was on the news. Could be the last time I ever watch TV.

"As we stand here today, task force has something to say about their next mission. As the chief stands there, we have information about their departure," the news reporter said.

Just then I see the chief take the stand, right behind him was Jennie and few other task force agents.

"Hello everyone, as you are aware of the reports of task force leaving on a mission. Don't worry, there is nothing to be afraid of. The mission won't last long," those were the chief's words before task force left.

What is he doing. Another publicity stunt, they have every right to know this. I mean this secret has been going on for three years. And we were the ones to find out.

"Shit," I mumbled as I sat back down on my bed.

This is bad, really bad.

JENNIE POV

We we're getting closer to Caruso. In the copter I was looking around at all the other agents. Even we were surprised when the chief said there was nothing to worry about. Even us agents don't know if we're able to do this.

"We're here," we heard the pilot say.

We landed in Caruso and the team headed out. All the helicopters carrying agents came out as well. We were a swarm, in the town. Looking around there was nothing, with cars being left in the dust, and a telephone pole that had already fallen down.

"Move in," our teams moved foward.

As we headed into the town, some soldiers began to fall behind.

"Come on," I said as I carried one of them.

And then suddenly, people began to fall down into the ground. I tried to get them back up but, they weren't responding.

"What's going on," one of the agents asked.

That's when I noticed in the distance, barrels dumped onto the street, and the gas light radiating in the sky.

"Fuck, get your mask on," I said.

Every other agent that was still on their feet put their gas mask on.

"Keep moving," I said.

As the rest of the agents walked forward into town, one of them tripped something.

"What was that," I asked.

Beeping was heard from a distance for three seconds. Then it stopped. We waited for another five seconds.

"I think we're good~

Then one of the houses exploded, killing off agents near the house. That explosion caused a chain reaction to the other houses and exploded every house on the block.

"FALL BACK," I yelled.

JUNGKOOK POV

Staring at the ceiling of my cell, I heard the door bust open.

"Hope," I said as I got out of bed. "How the bell did you guys get out."

"We managed to trick a guard, snag the keys to cell X," Jimin said.

Jimin helped me get out of my cell.

"Nice, I escaped twice from this place," I said.

"Hold your celebration, cameras are watching this place. RM managed to hack them one hour out of companion, we only got 20 minutes left," Jimin explained.

"So what are we going to do," I asked.

"We're going to Caruso," Hope said.

"What, I thought task force is already there," I replied.

"I know my father well, he wouldn't just leave Caruso like that. Task force has no idea what it's up against," Hope said.

"So what's our plan, we only got a few moments before the bomb goes off," I said.

As we left cell X, went to the armory and grabbed as much gear and technology we can from it. We even stole some task force agent suits.

"Here," Hope handed me a gas mask.

"Thanks," I replied and grabbed it.

We then went over to the garage and found one more helicopter still on the ground.

"RM will take us to Caruso," Jimin said and we all got on it.

RM took off and we were on our way.

"How will we locate the bombs," I asked.

"We don't need to find any bombs, Caruso is the center piece. We just need to find the main power source and shut it off," Hope said.

As we were riding there, I looked at everyone. Brief moment of silence because I don't know what the outcome is.

"Guys, if this is the last time I'll see you guys~

"Jungkook, save it till we finish the mission," Jimin said.
