The Prince Choose the Knight (BL)

CHAPTER 3

Johann laughed and released his hand and went for the couch. He leaned and place both of his arms on the back of the sofa sitting there looking at him as if he's an spectacle for him to watch. He can tolerate it a bit more if he would only just get rid of the way how his eyes look at him, like he was undressing him on his mind.

"I know that you treasure Cadia like a sister Yarran so what more of me as her real brother? But we don't have a choice. Marriage is the only way to bond two families together strongly. If only the Rothilla Kingdom had another princess, I would definitely send Cezar to be the one to marry." he said referring to his second brother.

He fight it hard to stop himself from retorting on his words. Definitely if the Rothilla Kingdom had a princess, he would marry off Cezar first not because of her love and concern for the princess but because of the rivalry between the two brothers. He would be getting rid of him not saving the princess.

"What about a peace talks with Argon? I heard that there was still a prince who has not yet married and currently looking for a bride?" he said immediately regretting his words.

How could he send the princess to a decade old enemy Kingdom without the fear of them physically abusing her and worst kill her?

Yes for sure he had heard good things about the prince from the North that is currently looking for a wife but what could seventh or sixth prince, he was not sure, do if the people who are more in power decide to kill the princess in retaliation for their loses instead of abiding by the peace talks. With the Rothilla Kingdom not having any disputes with the Elfini for so long, it is really much more safer for them to join hands as both kingdoms will benefit the marriage. They might even help by lending them some of their troops to fight for the North and finally end this decade long disputes between the two kingdoms.

Sensing that he already figured it out all of his own, Johann didn't say anything about his comment and just continue to intently look at him.

There's no way out of it. He knows.

"I hope that as one of the royal bloodline from Elfini, it is our top priority to save and return Princess Cadia in case the situation become dire and her highness was in anyway put to danger Your Majesty." he said wanting to have a confirmation that in no way he will just let his sister be. The princess is of royal descent. It is an obligation of the royal family to save the bloodline and all of it's descendants. He is still not accepting this but he sees that there's no other option as of the moment. He will only buy time and think of other possible solution and since he is with her, it will be easy to take the princess back. For sure the marriage will not be held anytime sooner as marriage between two royal families usually takes years to prepare.

Johann simply shrugged his shoulders. "I will make sure to tell the knights that would accompany her."

"I am her Knight Your Majesty." he said getting annoyed again. He may only be knighted just six months ago but he is now a knight and not a guard like he used to. It takes a long time for one to be considered a knight even if they served the royal family for a long period of time. Extensive training and numerous examinations was done before one could finally become one. He will not let him belittle his abilities. He may only be knighted but he has already protected the princess long ago as her personal guard. What being a knight has done was just formalities of him officially serving the princess and having him under her wing.

Guards have no special orders and only follow the command of any royal family with the King being the superior power while Knights on the other hand have a choice of whomever they want to serve and that person is the only one that has supreme power over them as it is a matter of loyalty.

He is a proud Knight of Princess Cadia regardless of her having no power to the throne as women can't inherit it.

"Do you know why you are send off to the border the moment you finished the training of becoming a knight Yarran?" Johann asked and changed his sitting position now leaning towards him with his hands joined.
