Johann fiddle strands of his hair. Clearly enjoying the angst on his face. "First, you need to accept that you will not be part of the people who will go to Rothilla. Even if you escaped from me and follow the troops travelling south, upon coming there you will still be denied entry as you are not registered in the list of names I've already sent there days ago."

This bastard! He really planned all of this long ago!

"That list cannot be forge as they have provided identification stones for everyone whose names are written on the document I sent. Those stones are solely done inside Rothilla as they are very strict in allowing strangers to enter the kingdom and immediately imprison any suspected person. I know how tricky you are but I would like to remind you that they don't give pardon to outsiders. On seldom occasions they might, but after being free, that person will now be banned to enter the kingdom for the rest of his life. Any attempt will result to death. Very distrustful if I may say but it happens to be on my favor for now."

Only few of his words registered to him.

As much as he wants to devise a plan, all his mind could do is go riot. He's anxious as to how many minutes have already passed.

"Stop wasting my time Johann, just tell me what you want." he angrily snap.

He's been played and left in the dark!

He can't forgive Johann and himself for wasting so much time in the borders and falling for his trap. He already felt something is wrong from the beginning. That something seems off as he was the only one requested to join the expedition among the other new knights but he thought that if he just follow the orders sooner, the soonest he will return as well.

"It's easy. I just want you to-" his words were cut by the loud knocking on the door.

"Your Majesty! Your Majesty!" calls from the outside.

Annoyed, Johann grab his wrist that made him winched. His holding it in a way that's not giving him chance for escape before he opens the door and a knight soaked in blood appear in front of them.

Base on the armor and vest he's wearing, this man came from the frontline.

"Greetings your Majesty! We have an emergency." without seconds lost he immediately reported. "Soldiers from the north was able to find an opening and invade the forest near the Tasis river! The remaining soldiers are trying to fend them off but we need your orders!"

Tasis river is the main source of water for a majority of the provinces. If that river will be taken by the enemies, lots of territories will greatly suffer. Still, this is closest to the military base as well and deployment of back up is easy. Johann can handle it.

"F*ck! What are the lot of you even doing for that to happen?!" he said angrily.

Johann looked at him intently. "I order you to stay here until I come back Yarran. Accept that you can't do anything anymore. Make me happy and follow my orders, then maybe I would let you visit Cadia in the future."

It didn't take him long to devise a plan and instantly let go of his hand.

"Tell the envoy of the Princess to depart at once! Gather all remaining soldiers on the ground and follow me to the assembly hall!" Johann shouts and march away.

Maybe it made him relax to know that he don't have the stone for him to just left him there. Believing that even if he tries to join the caravan, at the end, all his efforts would be for naught when he gets there.

Regardless, he will never know if he won't try. He waste no time and run off to where the princess might be. He almost tripped down when a hand suddenly pulled him from the shadows. He's ready to throw fit on whoever it might be that Johann sends after him to make sure he stays there when he recognized his face.
