CHAPTER 18

"Such great pleasure to meet you too-" the Duke look friendly and immediately offer to shake his hands but before they touch, Aegan was already blocking his view, positioned in front of him.

"I changed my mind Yarran. Just wait for me to return. You don't have to come and accompany me for today. Let's just schedule another one next time." Aegan said. His tone is like the usual but the increasing frown on his face indicates he's not in a good mood. There is something that tick him off.

"I understand Your Highness. Please be safe on your hunt." he said immediately complying as he don't want to go in the first place bowing his head to both gentlemen.

"Why spoil the fun Aegan, haven't you heard of the phrase the more the merrier? We can clearly have a beauty joining us on this boring hunt and you want to keep him all for yourself, when did you get so greedy." teased the Duke with a smirked then looked at him. "So the beauty is named Yarran? I would love to invite you on my own grand manor in the east kingdom. You could do a vacation and relax far away from Aegan's tight grasps no?"

"This will be the last time you would be tolerated to do this 'boring hunt' Fiel as this was your idea to begin with. After this day you're banned from entering the kingdom." Aegan ordered.

Instead of being shocked for being treated like a criminal, the Duke laugh out loud like it's the first time in his life he have ever heard a funny joke.

"Oh dear! What is this? This is the first time someone was off limits. Are you by any chance not a bed partner because no offense meant, your body is fire." said the Duke and proceed to check him up and down lingering on his waist.

He change his mind, he don't want to be close with the Duke anymore.

"Your eyes will be the first one to roll on the floor after I take them out if you're not gonna stop ogling Duke." Aegan said in a low fatal voice that gives both him and the Duke chills on their spine.

Instinctively, even not having seen him actually doing brutal things, words like that coming from his mouth with that type of voice screams that he's able to do that and he's gonna do that without a second thought.

Duke Fiel raised both his hands as a sign of surrender. "Okay I apologize for going out of bounds Your Highness. I might have been too excited seeing such a beauty- fine. fine. I'm not looking anymore see, so don't glare at me like that. I felt like my head already separated from my body the way you look at me." the Duke when he notice a tick on Aegan's jaw upon hearing the Duke refer to him a beauty.

"Go first and I'll follow at the stables Duke. I have something to do quick first. I needn't need to guide you as you're already familiar about the place no." Aegan said not a question but a threat.

The Duke shaking his head. "I got it. Please don't take your time Your Highness as your friend here of eleven years have been waiting for you sometime now. I'm a Duke but you're always making me wait."

"If you really did understand, you'd already be gone by now. And I'm a prince so you have no choice but to wait for me." Aegan grimace.

Sighing the Duke hastened to leave but look back to give him a wink before he completely get lost. He was appalled by his guts. Certainly he and the prince might actually be friends seeing how annoyed Aegan but didn't take further action.

Glancing at Aegan while he look at the back of the Duke walking away from them changed his first thought. He's now looking at the so called friend like he's gonna strangle his neck by winking at him. Gods. This man is possessive.

"Your Highness, you should also go-" before he could finish his sentence, he was grabbed by the arm and pulled hard to a corner behind a large pillar. He was pushed at the hard stone rashly his back hurts. There is no one around anymore as the servants take their leave together with the Duke clearly sensing the Prince words was meant to be for him alone.
