We followed Dad to a private bar, and dad started talking as he was poured a drink.

"You two seen to be the sensible one's of the bunch,"and then he motioned to me,"you seen to be able to best control them."

"That's because I'm the oldest,"Five boasted,"you know, technically, I'm older than you right now."

"Yeah, you seen to mature when you're a mother of two, three if you count my twin Klaus."

He nods and motions to his drink,"Cognac?"

"Just a smidge,"Five says.

"I'll have an Aunt Roberta,"I say politely to the bartender.

"The other night you quoted Homer at me. Why?"

"You forced us all to learn it as kids."

"In the original Greek, no less,"I snorted sipping my strong cocktail.

"This world ends in five days if we don't get out of the timeline,"Five urgently says.

"Worlds end,"Dad hums looking unaffected,"Paleozoic, Jurassic, and so on."

"We can do something about this one," I protest.

"Man's greatest flaw: the illusion of control."

"I need your help, alright?"Five pleads,"Otherwise, I gotta make a deal that I really don't wanna make. What do you know about time travel?"

"In theory?"

"In practice."

"I know it's akin to descending blindly into the depths of freezing waters and reappearing-"

"As an acorn,"Five and I finished off.

"What transpired when you tried traveling before?"

"I botched it."

"How?"

"His immaturity," I mumbled.

Five shot me a look before turning to dad,"I jumped too far forward, got stuck in the future for 45 years in an apocalypse. Then I jumped too far backwards except this time I brought my entire family with me."

"Maybe your appetite is disproportionate to the size of your abilities,"Dad said after a few seconds, thinking it over," Start small. Seconds, not decades."

"Seconds?"Five scoffed,"look, no offense, but I need a bit more time for what I'm trying to accomplish."

"So much can change in a matter of seconds. One could overthrow an empire, one could fall in love. An acorn doesn't become an oak overnight."

I just nodded, understanding what he meant and surprised he actually gave good advice, unfortunately Five thought otherwise.

"I was really hoping you had more than that."

"I'm sorry I can't be of more help."

"I'm sorry too, I gave you such a hard time as a kid. I didn't know any better."

"No skin off my teeth, old man."

Dad turned to me expecting an apology causing me to choke on my drink,"yeah, I'm not sorry for anything. All the pranks Klaus and I pulled, you deserved it, all we ever wanted was to be kids."

Five just mumbled something as he started walking away and I continued to drink my drink and I turned to dad who was sipping on his Cognac.

"What do you know about twin connections?"

"Care to elaborate?"

"My twin brother Klaus he can commute with the dead, he's basically a seance. But when we were younger we found out that he could pass on his powers for a few seconds if we held hands. Now, I don't need to hold his hand to commute with the dead. Is this some form of twin connection, where we can trade off powers?"

"I suppose, this would be proof of twin connection. Are you able to pass on your powers to him?"

I shook my head,"We've never tried, but I feel it's possible."

"Maybe if you worked together your powers could become more powerful than before."

"You did say he hadn't reached his full potential, we just assumed it was because he was finally sober. I guess it seems possible, it makes sense too."

"Did I force you to pursue ballet?"

This caused me to chuckle as I shook my head,"you hated it, you hated anything that wasn't related to my or my siblings superhero training."

"From I saw in your performance as Kitri in Don Quixote, I would have thought that you were supported from the very start."

"Definitely not, you always called me a sloppy dancer, that I had not form or poise, said I had no shot in being successful,"he just looked at me shocked but I just shrugged and finished my drink,"I'm the end, as much as you hurt me. I used your comments as a great big 'fuck you' to you to prove how wrong you were. I should go anyways, I have to help my siblings to save the world."

"Very well,"Dad finally said as I hopped off my seat and started to walk away.

"Also,"I said turning around pointing a stern finger at him,"you treat Grace and Pogo right, they don't deserve the monstrosity you bring upon."

Then, I just walked out, looking at his expression. Once I arrive in the elevator I see a passed out Klaus on the floor with a disappointed Ben looking at him.

"What the hell was that,"I say with my hands on my hips.

"Can you just-"Klaus groaned out,"shhhh."

"Ben how could you do that! That was not the time to possess him! I know Klaus was wrong to say you weren't here but this was no the time!"

"Sorry,"Ben mumbled crossing his arms even more.

I clenched my fists manifesting Ben for a few seconds, before wrapping him in a tight hug,"it's alright. It was pretty funny though."

"I heard that,"Klaus mumbled.

Ben and I just looked at each other before bursting out laughing ignoring Klaus' protests then once the doors opened, Ben's blue form turned back to normal, meaning that his manifestation was gone. I grabbed Klaus' foot ready to draw him out of the elevator before my hand was slapped away and Klaus stumbled his way to his feet and slung his arm over my shoulder. We walked outside to see a numb-eyed Diego sitting on a bench.

"You better take care of your boo,"Klaus whispered,"I'll see you tomorrow,"he whispered once more before pressing a kiss to my cheek and walking away.

I turned to Diego who sent me a small smile as I stood between his legs, wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed a kiss to the side of his head.

"You didn't have to do that,"he whispered.

"I sure did, no one messes with my fiancé except for me,"I mussed earning a chuckle from him,"plus, it's high time someone told him off."

I was pulled down into a kiss and I heard him mumble,"I love you."

"I love you too, Diggy."

We stood there in a hug until I felt him lightly pinch my waist,"come on, we better go back to our children."

"Sounds good to me,"I giggled into his hair,"we deserve some good sleep."
