July 30, 2005 - the last Saturday of July and the Hanabi Festival taking place over Sumidagawa near Asakusa.

To anyone who didn't know Nari personally, they'd have an impression of her as a strong and smart delinquent. Being the only girl in Toman, everyone outside of their gang made fun of her including the ninth generation leader of Black Dragons, Shion Madarame. Sick and tired of hearing their boisterous laughters, their index fingers pointing at her and being labelled as an excess baggage, Nari brought it upon herself to be the kind of girl that when her name is mentioned they'd immediately shiver in fear.

But to anyone who knows Nari both inside and outside, they'd know that she's the kind of girl who's mind gets fuzzy and face color turning red or pink around the person she likes. And that's the kind of person she is right now. Beneath the shining armor she crafted upon herself, a pink tint of blush creeps her cheeks as she stood closer to Sanzu, the back of their hands brushing against each other.

In her mind, Nari thanked the heavens above to be able to stand this close to Sanzu once again.

"Do you really like the fireworks that much?" Sanzu asks, a black face mask covering the lower half of his face. Turning to face her, Nari could feel her heart beating wildly inside her chest. Huffing her cheeks while closing her eyes, Nari nodded her head.

Focus, Nari. It's now or never. She thought to herself.

"Yes I do!" Nari answers, smiling at Sanzu. "I thought I told you that already?"

"No you haven't." Sanzu mumbles under his breath, looking away from her and back to the skies.

"I especially like watching the fireworks with you, Haru!" Nari says, feeling her face heating up before looking up at the red, green and gold coloring the dark sky.

"Hey Haru, do you think we'll still watch the fireworks like this next year?" She asks, blinking her eyes twice before turning to face him.

Sanzu shrugs. "Do you want to watch the fireworks next year?" Nari immediately nodded her head before embarrassment crept into her. Stupid. You should have nodded slowly. She curses to herself.

"Did you want to say something?" Sanzu asks, looking at her as if expecting a question.

Yeah I have a lot to say to you, dummy. To sum everything up, I like you. Go out with me. You can't say no. I'm Toman's representative. Listen to my orders! She mentally spoke to herself but as soon as Nari opens her mouth, a different question came out of her lips.

"What number do you put your fan on when you sleep?"

Sanzu looked at her with an are-you-serious look on his face. "I don't sleep with a fan on." He says, taking a hold on her wrist as soon as the fireworks show ended.

"Let's go. I don't want to lose you in the crowd." He says before turning his head to look back at her. "You still wanted to try the strawberry mochi's right?" Sanzu asks

The feeling of his calloused and rough hand on the smooth skin of her wrist brought shivers down her spine. Nari didn't liked the feeling of being under anyone, but she'd gladly under herself for Sanzu.

Nodding her head to his answer, Sanzu continued to lead the way for them. Unaware of the fact that Nari had a stupid smile painted on her lips and taking a picture of their hands together.

. . . . . . . . . .

Somewhere in the present world, year 2018, two men were inside an office.

"Hear me out, Naoto! Mikey maybe a delinquent, but he's a good guy! And Hinari's safe with him!" Takemichi reasons

"Huh?" Naoto whips his head to look at Takemichi. "Safe with him?" He repeats, tasting disgust in his mouth. "If only I was older than Nari, I would have told her to stop hanging out with them. Live a much better life than do shady business that I have to cover up." Naoto spoke before banging his palm on the white board behind him.
