13 | a night at the beach

"My mother's going to kill me if she knew I keep eating in places like this." Nari mumbles to herself before letting out a sigh. Inside Danny's Diner, the division captains along with her, Draken, Chifuyu, Kazutora and Hanma (who Nari clearly thinks he has no reason to be here) are situated inside a long booth for themselves and is sitting besides Draken in a table shared with Chifuyu and Takemichi.

"Is your mother the type to nag you to eat your vegetables?" Smiley asks as he looms over to Nari's side.

"How did you hear what I just said?" Nari questions, slightly moving back as Smiley was getting closer to her.

"No shit, Nari. But I'm just sitting besides you!" Smiley says, raising his feet on the red leather seat. "Answer my question!"

"Okay okay!" Nari spoke, another sighing escaping her lips. "But yes, she's that type of person."

"Do you not like vegetables?"

"As if vegetables are the most appealing food in the world"

"So if I gift you a basket of vegetables you'd just throw it away?" Smiley asks, lacing his voice with a disappointed tone. "Sheesh. You're really hurting my feelings."

Making a 'tch' sound, Nari ruffled her hair. "Why would you even give me a basket of vegetables?! You're the one hurting my feelings!"

"You two are literally besides each other but talk as if you're both on different mountains" Draken points out, causing Nari to purse her lips into a thin line while Smiley just pointed at Nari.

"Her fault though" he reasoned

"Shut up!" Nari hissed

Draken didn't know what to do with the two bickering teens anymore, and instead, just dropped them off. "What are you trying to say again, Takemichi?"

With a determined expression despite the many band aids sticking on his face, Takemichi nodded his face. "I want to fight the Black Dragons!"

"Ah?" Draken quips.

"Quit fucking with us, jackass. I've said 'I'll kill you' a million times already!" Smiley responds, a vein popping in his cheek.

"If you actually kill people every time you say so, you'll end the world, you moron." Mucho pointed out, causing Nari to stifle her laughter.

"I'll kill you, Takemichi. Ah, see! I said it again!" Smiley points out. Beside him, Nari took the last remaining strawberry mochi in her left hand before shoving it inside Smiley's mouth.

"Chew on this instead" Nari said, dusting the powder off her palms.

"This is good!" Smiley says in between chews.

"Hey" Baji says, catching Nari's attention despite being seated far from her. "I thought you don't like sharing your precious mochi's to anyone?" He asks, Kazutora sitting in front of him.

"This guy just won't shut up!" Nari points at Smiley who happily kept savoring and chewing the strawberry mochi inside his mouth.

"I'll kill you, Nari!"

"I'd like to see you try!"

"These two are busting my ear drums" Mucho complains, leaning his back on the red leather seat while shoving his hands inside the pocket of his uniform.

"But Nari getting mad is hot" Hanma comments, lazily grinning as his eyes are trained on her body.

"Be serious" Kisaki says, looking at Hanma.
