cw: curse words

As Nari and the rest waited for Draken and Mikey to arrive, an hour turned into two.

Two hours turned into three.

Three hours turned into four.

Four hours turned into five.

What was supposed to be a gang war at seven o clock never came as it has already been past nine of the night.

"Are they coming here?" Nari asks, her voice hoarse and dry from all the crying she did earlier. Angry had to go somewhere and get her water to hydrate herself. "It's already late and why aren't they here yet?" She asks, turning around to see if the sight of the two of them could be spotted but to no avail.

"I've been contacting Mikey but he isn't picking up." Baji spoke, eyebrows furrowed as he angrily types on his phone.

"I can't even get a hold of Draken either." Kazutora chimes in, his back turned to everyone but movements on his right hand and shoulder were evident. "Damn. Where are those two?" He asks under his breath.

Nari, who still sat on the lower end of the stone step staircase, the cool temperature of the water bottle between her hands; it's cool feeling radiating through the palm of her hands, stared and contemplated on the liquid.

Was it half empty or half full?

Just like her, was she only filled with half empty promises or half full of lies?

The feeling of fingertips tapping on top of her head was what pulled her away from her contemplation, slowly lifting her head up, she came face to face with Smiley, a hospital bandage covering his left eye while his hands rested on top of the wheel chair's wheels, reeling himself closer to her.

"Are you done already?" He asks her, the usual smile on his face withdrew. "Seriously, Nari he's just another guy, you can meet a lot others who can be more vocal about their feelings to you or treat you much better than he can. Give you flowers? Pick you up from your house? Any other guy can do that. Don't blind yourself or let yourself be single minded by him." He told her, "I'm telling you this as your captain, you're my subordinate in the fourth division. Get a grip or I'll miraculously stand up and hit you with this wheel chair!" He amuses, finally the usual smile on his face returning.

A small smile finally painted and curled the ends of Nari's lips, the cool feeling of the water bottle slowly fading as the sweat began to drip out of her hands and fall down on the earthy ground. It did hurt losing someone whom she'd known since childhood, but the lingering longing for Sanzu was still in her heart. And she hoped that she would be able to sway him to return to Toman. She knows Mikey would forgive him, she just knows.

"It's almost nine thirty, where the hell is Takemichi?" Akkun asks, furiously typing on his phone. The lit screen blaring to his face.

Unexpectedly, the sound of engine from the distance echoed and slowly drew near to them. Three people had returned with downhearted and sorrowful looks.

"Listen up everyone!" Chifuyu's voice echoed throughout the meters of the Shrine, "Just recently the president's sister...has been admitted to the hospital for head concussion."

"Mikey's sister?"

"For real?"

Is the president alright?"

"For sure our president can't join today's war with Tenjiku, he's awaiting for his sister to wake up in the confinements of the hospital. Our vice president too." Chifuyu spoke, whispering loud enough the last part.
