Randy and Tessa were at home discussing what they had found out.
"I just can't believe Billy and Christina Carpenter had a child" Tessa said.
"Oh I can. He was sleeping around behind Sidney's back" Randy said.
"Fucking jerk!" She exclaimed.
"What do you think of Sam?" He then asked.
"She seems messed up. But then again her father and grandmother were murderers so that's bound to fuck you up" she said.
They then heard sirens going past their home, followed by another and then another.
They both went to the front door and opened it.
People were standing outside their homes wanting to know what was happening.
Tessa and Randy locked up and followed where they were going.
There was something going on at the Hicks residence.
Police cars and emergency teams were outside. Their home had police tape around it.
Two bodies in body bags were brought out and placed in ambulances.
Tessa saw her brother talking to a policeman.
"Dewey what the hell is going on?" Tessa said hugging her brother.
Dewey's face was full of sadness for the loss of his former deputy "Judy and Wes are dead. Multiple stab wounds".
Tessa and Randy were shocked.
"Omg" she exclaimed "poor Judy, poor Wes" she said clinging tight to her husband.
"Who did it?" Randy then asked.
"It's another ghostface attack" Dewey said. "Wes had a knife wound to the neck, and Judy had stab wounds all over her chest. She bled out".
Tess just stood there looking around when she saw a familiar face.
This familiar face was doing a report. "Dewey omg look! It's Gale!" She exclaimed as Dewey and Randy turned around.
Gale had long black hair and was wearing a red suit and heels.
"You should go and talk to her" Tessa suggested.
"Oh Tess I couldn't" Dewey replied.
"Come on bro! This is your chance. You clearly still love her" Tessa said hoping her brother would talk to Gale.
Dewey stood there and thought for a moment "ok" He said.
Dewey then walked away and headed towards his ex wife.
"Hey Gale" Dewey stared at her.
"Dewey! Omg!" She replied as they smiled sadly at each other both feeling sad for the years they lost together.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
She began smacking him in the chest. "Text? You tell me ghostface was back with a text!" She said crossly.
"I couldn't face ringing you" He said. "You look great. Are you writing?" He asked.
"No time" she replied.
"You were always happiest when writing" He said.
"Are you drunk?" She asked smelling it on his breath.
"Pretty much all the time. It helps numb everything. I told you not to come here" He said.
"Since when did I ever listen to you?" She asked.
"You just couldn't resist a good story could you?" He sniped at her.
"Don't be stupid Dewey. I came because I was worried about you" she said. "I did also come because my producers wanted me to cover this. But 90% was you".
"Well I feel 90% better" He said sarcastically walking away.
She followed him "Don't be like that" she said.
"Didn't seem to care how I was the last couple of years" He said.
"Don't pretend I was the one who ended our marriage" she said.
"Noone is pretending Gale. I remember what happened" He said.
Both of them were close to crying.
"Why aren't you in uniform?" She asked.
"I'm retired" He told her.
"Since when?" She asked.
"Since I was asked to" He said.
"Oh Dewey" she said sad for him.
"I don't need or want your pity Gale. I made my choices and you made yours" He said angrily.
"It was a great opportunity Dewey. You said it was my turn. You said you'd try" Gale said.
"I did... " He answered.
"For two whole months!" She exclaimed "I came to woodsboro and was here for 10 years!".
"If you want me to feel any worse then good luck. I regret everything. I wish I could go back to that night and not have left like a coward". He said a stray tear running down his cheek. "I could face a killer four times, but I couldn't cope in a new city".
Gale was also now crying. She saw the tear running down Dewey's face and wiped it away with her finger.
"Why didn't you say all this then? It would have mattered" she said.
"Because I'm nothing more than a coward" He said looking into the eyes of the woman he had always loved.
"You are many things Dewey but you are not a coward" she said.
Suddenly things between them changed. They had both got things off their chests, said what they needed to say a long time ago.
Dewey looked at her, and she looked at him. Hell it wasn't the right time but they felt a rush and they passionately kissed with tears running down both their faces.
They both loved each other and needed each other.
They couldn't stop or wanted to stop kissing.
Randy and Tessa just watched the pair happy.
"When you leave, I'm coming with you Gale" He told her stroking her hair.
"You really mean that?" She asked shocked but happy.
"Yes. I love you Gale, and I have never stopped. I need to be with you. Wherever you go, I go, for the rest of our lives" He said.
"Oh Dewey. I'm so happy you said that" she exclaimed as they hugged.
Dewey and Gale had reunited 💓 💖
