Tessa arrived at New York Airport to meet Gale then head back to Gale's.
"Hey Tessa" Gale smiled as the former sister in laws embraced.
"It's good to be here" Tessa said as they pulled away.
"So.. how did Randy take it?" Gale asked the pair grabbed a coffee inside the airport.
"He said if I left then we are over" Tessa replied.
Gale looked solemn "oh Tess I'm sorry".
"I'm OK" Tess said.
"He'll come around. He adores you. It's just a shock to him" Gale answered.
"Yeah maybe" Tessa replied.
"How long do you want to stay for?" Gale asked.
"I'm not sure yet" Tessa said.
"Well you can stay along as you need" Gale smiled.
"Thanks Gale. I keep thinking about him" Tessa said.
"Dewey?" Gale asked.
"Yeah. I want to help you write your book" Tessa said.
"I would be honoured Tessa if you would help me" Gale said.
Both women knew what they were going to do. Collaborate on a book about their hero.
Meanwhile back in Woodsboro Randy took the girls around to Martha's.
Martha answered "Hey bro, hey girls" she smiled.
Randy wiped a tear out of his eye "she's left me".
Martha's was shocked and upset as they stepped inside the house.
"I don't understand" Martha responded.
"She's gone to New York because she needs time away from here, away from us" Randy said wiping more tears away.
Martha was sad for her brother "it'll be ok" she said wrapping her arms around him. "She'll come back".
"You don't understand... I don't want her to come back" He said.
Martha then noticed he wasn't wearing his wedding ring.
"Where's your ring?" She asked.
"I have no need to wear it any longer" He said bitterly.
"She's your wife!"Martha exclaimed.
"She stopped being my wife when she broke my heart by leaving when I was already broken" He cried. "Dewey's gone and I needed her to be here so we could grief him together but instead she just left".
"Oh Randy" she said stroking his hair as he cried on her chest.
"I've gotta be strong for Cici and Sidney, they need me" Randy said.
"Of course they do Randy, and you know you've got me" Martha smiled.
"I know. How's Chad and Mindy doing?" He then asked.
"Much better, they're still taking it easy" she replied.
Martha and Randy just sat in silence for a while longer.
