It was dawn, and the sun was just coming up. Police and emergency services had arrived to help the survivors and take the dead away.
Survivors including Tessa, Gale, Sidney, Mindy, Sam, Tara and Chad.
Gale,Sidney and Tessa were sat in the back of an ambulance whilst Mindy and Chad were carried out on stretchers and taken to hospital.
Sam and Tara were in the back of another ambulance near the three older women.
Sam squeezed her younger sister's hand and crying at the same time.
"She's going to be fine" smiled the paramedic.
"Can you take us to a different hospital this time?" Tara asked the paramedic.
"Sure" He smiled.
Sam needed to talk to Sidney so she hobbled over to her.
"You were right, you should have run" Sidney said observing Sam's injuries.
"I was about to run away with a psychotic killer so no you were right" Sam said then looking at Gale "How are you doing?".
"Ask me in a few days. But at least I know what I'm going to write about" Gale smiled stroking Tessa's arm.
"What's that?" Tessa asked.
Gale smiled "Not this. These fuckers can die in anonymity" Gale then turned to face Tessa and said "I want to write about a brave and good man who was once the sheriff".
Tessa and Sidney both smiled with emotions running high.
"I would want to read that" Tessa said.
Sam looked at the three of them and asked "Can I ask you a weird question, am I going to be okay?".
Sidney, Tessa and Gale looked at each other and Sidney replied "eventually".
Sam said goodbye to them and went over to the ambulance with Tara and the sisters left.
Suddenly a car rushed up and out came Randy who ran over to his wife relieved she was okay.
They embraced in each other's arms crying.
"I love you, I love you" Randy said planting kisses all over her face whilst Sidney and Gale looked on at them smiling.
Meanwhile a newsreporter had just started her coverage of the event "Twenty five years ago, nearly to this day, in this very house, a very tragic story ended. Tonight.. a new chapter came to a close".
