{Y/N POV}
The ballroom was magical, Marble & Rose quartz pillars with advanced designs. All sorts of different flowers and trees from all over the world, but most importantly was the center. A beautiful stained glass moon was in the floor and the roof above the moon was a dome with a beautiful crystal chandelier.

We entered as a family, we soon became veiled strangers, although we mostly stayed together. The Occasional veiled stranger of high status, asked for a dance, "No thanks" I spoke. I was obviously uncomfortable so the stranger in black with a white mask with purple roses, put his hand on my shoulder. "Hey it's going to be alright, don't forget about it." He reassured as he patted my hidden pocket in my shoulder with the dagger in it.

Until a man in a Plum colored suit with silver accents bowed to me. His mask had a plaid design on it. "I would be to have true honor of having a dance with you." He held out his hand as his dark locks layed neatly over his head and cloaked face. "Maybe a later dance?" I proposed. Thankfully he agreed.

Another man kept his eyes on me, eyeing me. He was Tan with dark hair and mutton chops. His ram horns were adorned with gold. He had a black and red suit again adorned with gold as well as his mask, red, black and gold. He ruled over Veprax. Emperor J Schlatt of Veprax, and he couldn't make it less obvious who he was.

I had gotten a drink and I sat down, off to the side. The man in the plaid mask came back and sat down next to me, "So where are you from?" "Winterwinds" I replied "is it true what they say about King Techno? That he's ruthless, violent, and a monster? Some say he purposely killed his father." He questioned in a whisper. "A lot of that is far from the truth. Yes, He's Ruthless and violent in wars, but generally he's sweet and easygoing even with his aloof personality. He didn't kill his father, his father had a stroke and wasn't recovering well. He loved his father to death." I informed while looking over to where techno was.

"But didn't he steal a rare creature from Airti?" "Saved." I snapped. "What?" He asked. "He didn't steal, he saved it. That creature was kept in a science facility for 16 years by the corrupted Airti government. After war was decided, if it weren't for Winterwinds, they'd be dead, their rotting corpse still locked in that cell in the abandoned lab. That creature was an Airti citizen, born, raised then just given." I fumed "the dance is off." I barked as I walked off, flashing my wings out of the slits.

As the ball continued on the more I stayed with with my family. Personally I didn't like social events and mostly stuck with people I knew.

The moon shone brightly through the ceiling, it was almost time for the dance. The orchestra started up, at the beginning we were arranged spots, i on one side of the room, Techno on the other. The orchestra started playing Dance of the Knights, we started to dance, exchanging partners. I was so focused on dancing I didn't realize who I was dancing with.

The moon shown brightly, above us and into the crystals. I noticed that Moon veil that embraced the stranger and I. We were not allowed to look at each other. But I heard gasping from the crowds, the once pale white moon light turned red, a Bloody red.

I panicked and stopped dancing but the stranger only kept dancing. "Stop struggling!" He yelled in a hush. I felt a sharp pain above my hip, in my side. "No! Stop!!!" I cried out in slight pain. Techno bolted to the man in the dark pine suit and harlequin mask and pushed him to the ground. The man kept a grip on my forearm, Techno grabbed my waist and yanked me away from the man. "Touch them again, and you are dead by tomorrow morning." Techno sneered, him and I knowing who it was.

Thankfully the guards dragged him out of the hall. The music started up again playing once again. Veiled in the now pale blue light, he and I danced, our footsteps glowing. The magic of the moon. It almost felt like we were floating. When the music ended, he bowed and I curtsied. We soon left after the dance. As soon as we boarded our carriage, I layed against technos side exhausted.
