Purple Gas | Chapter 19

The castle defenses were up and the guards were on high alert. No one without a crystal ring wasn't allowed in the castle.

{Y/N POV}
We've been down in lockdown for almost a week, in fear of an ambush from Veprax after discovering Dream's hidden room within our castle. I wanted to make some apple pie pastries to cheer up everyone in the castle.
I stretched my arms and got to work.
Not long after I heard the door shut quickly, I thought nothing of it as we were probably doing a lockdown drill. After a few minutes of being in lockdown, purple gas slowly creep in from the ventilation system.
Another drill? jeez.

I walked over to the hidden cabinet to retrieve a gas mask. Nothing, Nothing was there, my head started to ache like hell.
This wasn't a drill.
Panic started to set in.
I ran over to the cloth drawer, nothing.
I dropped to my knees, the gas torturing my body. My body hurt and was almost unbearable I had to lay down and accept it. Above me stood a male with a gas mask and a green cloak. An all too familiar Smily mark hung around his waist, his piercing green eyes staring at me. Fading in and out of consciousness till it all went black.

{Dream's POV}
Finally, after months of planning I'd be on Schlatt's good side. After the kingdom incident that blew away a smaller one, one that Veprax controlled, I owed him. He gave me food and shelter, I gave him information from other kingdoms. Whatever he wanted I gave him.

Y/N was happily married, I could see it too. But going against Schlatt means I'd go hungry on the streets again.
I couldn't live like that especially with my younger sister, Drista.

I'm so sorry Y/N Blade, I was selfish, but in this world the strong eat the weak alive, I don't want that to happen again.

I was a pawn for him but it was to survive.
I'm not an enemy, I didn't want to be but Y/N and I didn't have the best relationship.

I was so lost in thought I forgot about what I'm supposed to do. I unlocked the kitchen door, picked up the unconscious Y/N and left my Veprax handkerchief where they were. I left a note in the handkerchief explaining what will happen to Y/N and my reasoning.

I snuck through the hidden passage ways within the castle, to the outer wall.
I loaded them onto the carriage to bring them back to Veprax.

Y/N didn't deserve this pain.

{Techno POV}
I saw the purple gas creep into the study. I calmly stood up from my desk, put on the gas mask and continued to what I was doing.
It had been a few hours since I'd seen Y/N, normally they would have been in here, anxious from the gas. I walked around searching for them, they didn't go outside because their jacket is here, they weren't in our room, or the library.

The voices were so hysterical that Y/n, was missing.

THE KITCHEN! I hadn't checked the kitchen. I bolted to the door and bursted it open. No where... but they were here I can smell the cinnamon apples. On the floor was a handkerchief, a Veprax handkerchief with something in it. A folded letter.
I opened it and red:

"Dear King Technoblade of Winterwinds,
We have gotten off on the wrong foot and I am aware that I don't have the best reputation in the Blade family. I never wanted to the things I did but Emperor Schlatt gave my sister and I food and shelter, we too are prisoners as Y/N is too. If you trust your spouse, you will leave them, you and I know their strong. But we also know what Schlatt can do. I will help them and They'll return to you sooner than you know it.
