Chapter V

Quick Note!!!

To all those who have not read the manga, there is a new character mentioned in this chapter whom hasn't been shown yet in the anime so everyone who knows him/her please don't spoil the others yet on who she really is. Thank you 😊💜💜 .

"We'll go to papa's office for a bit so he can return his coat then we'll go shop okay?" Loid asked Anya as they walked the streets of Berlin.

"Peanuts" Anya softly reminded her father looking at him as chuckled before nodding

"Yes we'll buy some peanuts too, would you like the ones you had last night?" Loid asked to which Anya nodded, once again whispering "peanuts" as a small smile appeared on her face.

Their walk continued in comfortable silence until they neared the hospital where Loid worked in, Loid continued to walk when a tug on his hand stopped him.

"Anya?" He asked as he crouched down and stared at his daughter who was now looking down, her posture a total contrast to awhile ago where she seemed happy and now was downcast and maybe even scared.

Anya said nothing, just continued to look down which left Loid to observe her and try to understand what happened. They remained like that for a few minutes when suddenly Loid remembered the drawing her teacher had shown him which brought a bittersweet smile to him.

"Would you like me to carry you?" He asked her, Anya looked up at his question and stared at him before slowly she nodded and lifted her arms.

Loid gave a nod before standing and picking her up, he was about to position her sideways when Anya latched her arms to his neck and legs to his waist, hugging him tight like a koala to a tree.

Loid was a little surprised at her action before he smiled as he rubbed her back, and in that position as they continued walking, maybe Loid began to understand Anya a little more, and maybe Anya began to trust her father a little bit more.

"Dr. Forger?" A female called out to the man carrying a sleeping child

The doctor, Loid, stopped from opening his door at his name being called, turning to the voice who called him.

"Ms. Frost, perfect timing. I'm sorry but could you please open my door for me? My daughter's asleep and I can't seem to be able to carry her with only one arm and open the door at the same time so if you could do me this favour..." Loid asked as he fix his hold on Anya, offering the keys to the woman

Fiona Frost or Ms. Frost, who was the secretary of one of Loid's colleagues, stared at Loid's face then the offered key before she nodded and opened the door for him then returned the keys to him

"Thank you so much Ms. Frost" said Loid as he entered his office and went straight to his desk where he tried to take out his white coat from his coat pocket and place it on his desk

"I didn't know you had a daughter Dr." Said Fiona as she now stared at Anya whom slowly was stirring from Loid's movements

"Hmm? Ah yes, it's just a little hard to explain but she is with me now and I love her more than anything" Loid smiled softly as he caressed Anya's back in hopes he could coax her back to sleep but it seems that she was really awake now as she started to rub her eyes.

"Papa?" Anya called out to her father, her voice still containing that touch of sleepiness though she was more awake as she stared around her

"Hey, we're in Papa's office since he needed to return something, did you have a good nap?" Loid softly asked as he adjusted Anya's position to his side which Anya fortunately allowed as she let herself be moved though she reattached her arms to his neck right after she laid her head on his shoulder.

"Who she?" Anya asked as she stared at the unknown person whom hasn't stopped staring at her since she woke up

"That is Ms. Frost, a workmate of Papa's friend" Loid introduced turning to Fiona then Anya to see her response to which Anya nodded then broke the eye contact she had with the woman after Fiona nodded in greeting

"Steak, peanuts" Anya whispered to her father after a few seconds to which Loid chuckled at before nodding.

"Yes, we will go and buy some now, do you want to say byebye to Ms. Frost?" Loid asked Anya to which she just nodded and gave a short wave to the woman

"Thank you for your help Ms. Frost, have a good day" Loid greeted after they all left his office and he locked his door then started to walk away.

Fiona couldn't say anything during the whole time but her mind was filled with questions, specifically pertaining to where and who was his wife for Loid, her superior, has never shared anything in regards to his personal life to the hospital staffs, basically his whole life out of the hospital was a mystery to many despite his popularity.

Quick Note!!!

Fiona has entered the chat 😂 . I'm sorry if I made Fiona show first than Yor but I promise that she will come soon 😉. Just to remind everyone, there will be no spies and assassins in this story okay?

So please don't expect Yor to be like in the anime, though I may make it that she is really strong physically still but enough to be excused as being knowledgeable in self defense or the gym.
