Chapter VII

"Thank you so much for saving my daughter awhile ago Ms. Yor" Loid said as all three of them sat on the table meant for him and Anya, though Anya sat on his lap, not wanting to separate from him at the moment, so Yor took her seat

"It was nothing Mr. Loid, the woman awhile ago was in the wrong and I was just lucky to have arrived, anyone would have helped such a cute little girl" Yor said as she smiled at Anya who was now picking the almonds off her cake slice

Loid could do nothing but nod as he observed Yor before whispering to Anya to eat her cake right as a comfortable silence rested upon them.

"Have a good day Ms. Yor, thank you again for the help" Loid said as they all exited the bakery, Anya in his arms

"Byebye, thank you" Anya said as she stared at Yor to which Yor smiled at, she couldn't wave goodbye as her hand were taking special care and hold of her peanut desserts

"It really was no problem Mr. Loid, though you didn't have to pay for my order as I willingly helped but thank you as well, have a good day too, byebye little Anya" Yor said bowing before she waved goodbye and left

Loid and Anya remained there staring in silence before it was interrupted

"Papa?" Anya called out to her father when he still wasn't moving

Loid snapped out of the trance he was in before he hummed in question as he looked at Anya

"Steak" Anya said so suddenly Loid wasn't expecting it as he blinked at her before he chuckled and nodded

"Right, we shall go home and prepare it then" Loid smiled softly before it vanished as he stared at Anya

"I'm sorry for not being there sooner for you awhile ago  Anya 'and all those other times in the past', forgive Papa?" Loid somberly asked

Anya stared at her father whose eyes she could see held a sadness she didn't totally understand, she was fine someone protected her but most importantly he came still, nonetheless she nodded trying to reassure her father "s'okay, papa still came that matters"

Loid smiled nodding before they too walked their way home

"How is it? Does it taste good?" Loid asked as he watched Anya eat

Anya happily nodded in response as she finished chewing and thus their lunch continued and finished in tranquil silence

"Anya, school for you is almost over, is there somewhere you want to go or something to do together during break?" Loid asked as he and Anya lazed in the living room

Anya stopped watching her spy show as she turned to her father in question, "Papa's work?" She asked

"I will have work but you can come with me during your break and when I won't have work we can go somewhere you want or do something" he said

Anya remained silent as she thought before she nodded, "Ms. pretty" She said to him

"Ms. pretty? Do you mean Ms. Yor?" Loid asked, a little bewildered at her answer, to which Anya nodded

"I am not sure, since we don't know her that well but maybe we can encounter her again at the bakery" he said, "Is there somewhere you would like us to go with her?"

"Park" Anya said as she stood up and walked to her father and raised her arms up to him

Loid smiled as he brought her onto his lap as she then cuddled him while turning back to her spy show, "Do you like Ms. Yor, Anya?" He asked softly as he caressed her hair

Anya nodded mumbling "she's like Mama, safe"

Loid, surprised by her answer, stopped his actions before a small sad smile came upon his lips, "I see... I'm sorry Anya" he whispered as he continued to caress Anya's hair

Anya slowly shook her head, "Papa like too, safe too" she said as she tried her best to hug him

Loid smiled as he hugged her back, "Thank you, Papa loves Anya too and will do his best to protect Anya more"
