Chapter 8: The Coffee Date

(October 2019)

(Still not filming)-*Back up at the hotel room (Sam and Zoey's perspective)*

"What do you think is taking them so long?" Sam questions Zo

"Uhh, I don't know, maybe there just goofing off, you know, the usual," Zoey suggests

"Yeah, probably," Sam brushes it off

*Colby and Skye pull themselves together and head back up to the room*

Appearances: Colby's hair is messy, and he's sweaty - Skye is flushed and sweaty as well

*Sam and Zoey hear the key card swipe and the door unlock*

"Hey, sorry it took so long," Colby says with an off-tone.

"Yeah... something came up," Skye quietly mutters, looking down at the floor and slowly walking to set her things down

(Sam and Zoey give each other a weird look)

"Sooo...what were you guys up to?" Zoey says suggestively

"What do you mean?" Colby says confused

"She thinks we... you know," Skye says unamused rolling her eyes

"Ohhh, ew," Colby says, trying not to laugh

"Wait a minute, what if we did? What is wrong with that" Colby says, smirking (fully aware that they didn't yk)

"COLBY! Knock it off," Skye snaps

"Ok, fineee. We just ran into..." Colby says, getting interrupted by Skye

*Skye eyes Colby*

"We just couldn't find my water bottle, and we didn't do anything, ya weirdo," Skye says, trying to convince Sam and Zoey otherwise

"Uhhhh... for an hour and a half?" "Really?" Zoey pushes with speculation

"Yeah, we had to search the whole car," Skye says non-convincingly

"Colby?" Sam questions to hear Colby's side of the story

"Uhhh...yeah. W-we just took forever looking for the water bottle" Colby shrugs and rubs the back of his neck, noticeably telling a lie

*After filming the primary investigation, they went to bed*
*3 am and Colby gets a call from Skye's phone*

(Sam gets woken up and then wakes Colby up)

"Yo bro, Skyes calling you," Sam says

*Colby picks up*

"Hey, what do you guys want? Is everything ok?" "Skye?" Colby says in a half-asleep monotone voice

*No one answers, so Colby hangs up after a few minutes of silence*

"What'd she say?" Sam says in a groggy voice

"Uh, I don't know. She didn't answer me," Colby says, confused, thinking it could be a prank

*In the girl's room*

"SKYEEE, YOU HAVE A MISSED CALL FROM COLBY," Zoey shouts to Skye, who's showering

"Ok! I'll be out in a minute!" Skye hollers back

*A few moments later*

"Huh, looks like he called me directly at 3:00 am" "Creepyyy," Skye says to Zoey, spooked
