ONE WEEK LATER
Damon has let me stay in contact with Harper as he promised a week ago. Things have been better since that night and we've actually started to get along, well as much as someone can in this situation. Harper has made me feel better and actually has explained more in detail about what's going on, I'm not allowed to let Damon know that she told me, so I just act like I don't know much. But they are into illegal activities and a drug deal went bad with some other people and I guess they wanna kill Hunter and Damon, I still don't know everything but at least I have a bit more information to go off of. I do think she knows more than what she has told me but I try not to push her so much into telling me everything cause I'm sure Hunter is trying to listen to our calls. "We need to go" Damon rushes in and starts packing his and my stuff into a duffle bag. I'm not sure what's going on but I help him with packing and we head out to his car and he speeds off. "So you gonna tell me what's going on?" He gives me the side eye and ignores my question. I assume who ever was looking for them has found us. I feel a little worried because I'm not sure where we're going and who's after us and since I know it has to deal with drugs, I know it can't be good. "We need to relocate" After a few minutes have passed by he answered my question. "They found us?" He nods his head and I have confirmation that I'm correct in what I was thinking. "Where are we going?" I am worried that I'll end up dying because my friend decided to get involved with a dangerous guy. "We're meeting up with Hunter and Harper" I nod my head and look back out the window. I'm glad that ill be reunited with Harper and we can be together and I'll have support from her. I just can't wait till all of this is over with and I can go home. I miss the cats so much already, Damon has told me that they are doing good and his people have been giving them food and water.
A FEW HOURS LATER.
Finally we arrive at an abandoned looking house in the middle of nowhere. Honestly I'm surprised the people that were looking for them found them since we were away from civilization. Pulling onto the grassy area I see another car which I assume has Harper in it and I'm so excited to see her after all this time away. "Let's go" Damon says to me while opening his door and getting out. Quickly i open up my door and speed walk to the other car, I see Harper get out of the passenger side and I'm taken aback of how horrible she looks. She's thinner and under her eyes are dark. "Harper" A whisper of my voice echos into the wind. She gives me a weak smile and brings me into a hug. I can't believe what I'm seeing right now, I can feel the rage fill my veins.
As she's holding me she whispers into my ear saying she's fine but I know damn well she isn't. "Harper" I hear Hunter yell and I see Harper quickly jog over to him to stand next to him and he brings his arm over her shoulders, almost as to say she's his. I make my way over to stand next to Damon and stare at Hunter with hateful eyes. "Alright what's your plan this time" Damon says, seems this has happened before with them. " Our guys have found where they have been hiding and we're gonna have to ambush them". They go on about their plan to kill this gang but I can't help but let my mind wonder off to Harper and what she must have went through. I thought I was having a hard time with Damon but it seems he's been treating me better than her own fiancé. " Their gonna wish they never met us" I'm brought back into the conversation and realize they're actually gonna kill people " If you'd stop fucking up, we wouldn't have this problem" Damon spits at Hunter. Well I guess Hunter is to blame for this whole mess. We say our goodbyes and we head back to our car. As me and Damon are walking over to our car I ask if Harper can stay with us "No, why would Hunter let her?" Well first off bitch haven't you seen how bad she looks? "I'm worried about her" He continues to open his door and hop in the car. I knew I wasn't gonna get him to help me get my friend back. I need to take matters into my own hands, turning around I run over to Hunters side of the car and open it. "I want Harper to come with me" I demand. Hunter looks taken aback by my outburst but remains cool " Why would I wanna be away from my fiancé?" Oh we're really gonna act like you give a shit about her, huh?. "Well I think me and Harper would feel better if we were together" At this point i can feel Damon behind me and I'm sure he's annoyed with me. "Well you guys are just gonna have to deal with that, she's mine now and I don't like sharing" He pushes me back and slams his car door and reverses out. "You don't listen much" I hear Damon say as I make my way back to his car "I'm really getting sick of that guy" I hear him chuckle a little behind me.
We don't speak the whole car ride and I just continue to look out the window and I hope I didn't get Harper in trouble I was just trying to get her to come with me. I can still see her scared face when I looked over to her while speaking to Hunter. I know she's in trouble and I'm gonna try and get us out of this mess.
