I'm woken up from a raging headache and feeling hot from Damon's body being pressed up against my back. Of course this guy needs to be this close to me, probably making sure I don't run away. Removing his arm I get up and head into the bathroom to wash my face, waking Damon up in the process. "Hungover?" He questions, I glance over at him "yes." I'm sure we're going to be driving again soon. " I'll order breakfast." I shut the bathroom door to finish my business, coming out he's dressed and eating the food that came. " that was fast" I say while sitting down next to him on the bed. He hands me my food and I start eating. From the outside this would look completely normal, just a couple eating breakfast together, But this was anything but normal. After eating Damon tells me we're heading out so I get my shoes on and we get back on the road. "Why do you want me to come back with you?". He ignores me and continues to drive, I've gotten use to him ignoring my questions so I turn on the radio. My head is still killing me but I feel better after eating, and music is better than being in silence.
After driving for a few hours we reach the place where we're gonna be staying. " I have a surprise for you." Damon says out of no where. "Huh?" I give a look of confusion, I'm not sure what surprise he'd have for me.
He just tells me to follow him and I do, entering the house he takes me into a room and I see a pet carrier on the bed. I give Damon a glance because I head over and look to see what's inside, and I still my Lunis. "Oh, my baby boy". I unzip the carrier and hold Lunis in my arms. "I know how much you missed him." I looked up at Damon "thank you". I was so happy to have my cat back, I felt relieved knowing he was safe with me again. "My men brought his stuff as well. I'll leave you be, I have phone calls to make." Damon leaves the room and I see a box with all lunis's stuff. "Lunis, I've missed you so much." Rubbing his head on my face I sit him down on the bed and unpack all his stuff.
Damon returns later to give me dinner and eats with me while we watch tv. Lunis is laying next to me, begging for my food with his eyes. I give a little piece of chicken "I didn't know cats like human food". Damon says. " yeah, some do." All of a sudden the doorbell rings and Damon gets up to go answer it "stay here, I'll be back." I give Lunis a pet and return my attention to the show we were watching. "Have you fucking found her, yet?!" I hear Hunters loud voice ring out, and I mute the tv to try and hear better. "No, I haven't". I wonder why Damon is lying to him ?
"Well I'm gonna kill that whore when I find them. She thinks she can just leave me for tony? He's a fucking tool". Sounds like someone is jealous. "Is Rayna here?" Hunter all of a sudden asks, I wonder if he told him I escaped. "Yes, she's in her room." I hear footsteps and then my door slamming open, Lunis gets scared and runs under the bed. Fucking, Hunter. " Do you know where your friend is? " I stare at him and answer "no" he pulls out his gun and points it at me "if that bitch is gone, there's no reason to keep you around then." I haven't had so many guns pulled on me in such a short amount of time, this must be my new normal now. "Hunter, put the gun down." Damon says behind him. He has one hand behind his back, so I'm assuming he's holding his gun. " No, this bitch knows something. She's keeping shit from us." Yeah, but so is your friend, dickhead. Everything happens so fast, watching Hunter fall to the floor and seeing Damon holding his gun up. He had just shot Hunter in the head, his brains splattered around the room. I put my hands over my eyes not wanting to look anymore. "I'm sorry, Rayna. I've been wanting to kill him for so long." I'm caught off guard by his words. " he's just given me a good reason to finally do it, I'm not gonna stand here and threaten my girl." I still have my hands over my eyes, just listening to him speak. "I'll get rid of his body". Hearing him drag his body out, I finally open my eyes but they dart right to the pool of blood and scattered brains. Jumping off the bed I run to the bathroom to throw up. "Rayna?" I hear Damon call for me but I can't respond as I gag. I feel his presence behind me and I try and give a quick look at him "I should've told you to close your eyes. I've called my men and they are getting rid of the body and cleaning the mess." I sit back from the toilet and wonder what this means, now that he's killed Hunter. Is Harper safe now? " is Harper safe?" I stare up at him. "Well I have no desire to harm her, as long as Tony behaves." Well this is good news. " what about me?" He gives me a look I can't read "what about it?" He isn't planning on keeping me, is he?
" can I go home?" He leans down and helps me up "we will discuss this later." I let him walk me to his room. Looks like I'm stuck here a little longer, obviously he'll come to his senses and let me leave sooner or later. " let's finish watching tv in here." We both lay down on his bed and he turns the show back on. Lunis wonders back over to me and lays down next to me, picking him up I put him on my belly and give him cuddles. At least I finally have my cat back, that's all that matters to me. Damon reaches over and pets him on the head, Lunis lets him. It's like I didn't just witness Damon kill his friend...I think I'm going crazy.
