I... You- What just happened?! I looked myself over nervously. I was completely covered in black fur. My clothes were ripped to pieces and scattered across the filthy ground. My stare finally rested on the wolf. I'm... a werewolf?

He nodded. "I'm pleased for you as well as surprised. I was shocked that such a puny body could take in such a powerful change."

I widened my eyes. You can... talk? Why didn't you tell me!

" The only reason you can understand me is because you are in your Wolf Form. If I spoke to you like this in Human Form, it would sound like just a bunch of barks and whimpers. "

I attempted to sit down, but my strange wolfish legs wouldn't allow me to sit normally, so I sat like any dog would, being careful not to sit on my long, scraggly tail. I realized my nails were now long and curved, as well as dangerously sharp. I turned my attention to the creature again. " So... every full moon will be like this? No thanks. Please. Tell me... how do I change back to a human forever?"

"There is a way, but let me tell you now... it's not going to be easy."

"Yeah, yeah. Hurry, though, I want to get back to myself as fast as I can."

"Alright... in order to go back to your human state forever, you need to do one thing. You must die."

My tail swished across the mud, making it heavier than it was before. "Um... Yeah. Kind of obvious one there. You realize I still want to be alive when I get rid of this, right?"

This made him growl. "I don't think you understand. When you die as a werewolf, you will then get rid of the wolf in your spirit. You will resurrect as a human being the next day."

Why did he say that it was going to be difficult? "Okay, I'll do it tonight. Can you kill me now, or what?"

"It's not as easy as you think it is. You have to be a werewolf while doing this. If you die as a human, you will resurrect as a werewolf forever. You wouldn't even be able to change back when the day comes. Also, I cannot kill you. A human has to. "

Dallas. Easy enough. I'm sure he would do it for me. Besides, I haven't even told anyone else about this but him. I stood up. " Okay, I'll go get him. " I turned to leave, but the wolf, as fast as lightning, jumped up and ran in front of me.

"You can't do that now!" He barked. "Firstly, you would get noticed. Secondly, how many times do I have to tell you: it's not as easy as you think it would be!"

Growling, I slinked back to the bench. "Fine," I said sulked, "What's the catch?"

"Your inner Wolf. It won't allow your death to be easy. It will attempt to take over your body and destroy whoever it is who will kill you. Once the Wolf takes over, you go into a rampage, and you can't back out until the Wolf thinks it wants to. You must be extremely careful, Blade. One mistake will destroy all."

I stood there, slowly absorbing everything he just said. This whole "inner Wolf" stuff seemed too much to take in. The real question is, how did he know my name? Finally, I looked up. "Okay. I'll try. When can I start? You said that I wouldn't be able to try tonight."

"You will have to try the next full moon. That isn't far from now. When it is, I will alert you."

"Okay. " I looked at him. " Speaking of time... how long do I have before I become a werewolf forever? "

" You have two weeks. Make sure you rest up. By the way, I would sleep here tonight if I were you... your friends would probably not understand you mean no harm. I wish you good luck." ignoring my nervous breakdown, I bounded away a few meters before pausing and turning back to me. "Remember what I said. Once the Wolf takes over, there is no turning back." with that, he stalked away I to the bushes.

In the morning, I was back to my normal self. Well, almost. My clothes had ripped and torn, so I had to run back home completely naked, with only my hands to cover myself up. I reached home and got inside before my sister caught me. I put on a new outfit and immediately ran back outside to Dallas' house. Once he answered the door, I grabbed his hand (he yelped, I forgot I was still unimaginably powerful, even as a human) and ran to his room. Shutting the door, I turned to him and whispered, "Bro, I really need you to help me."

He scratched his head sleepily. "Alright. It must be important. I suppose running across the street naked is a good excuse." He laughed as I went as red as a tomato.

"Ehh... Not the point! Anyway, like I said, I really could use your help." I explained last night to him, from my transformation to the wolf's warning. When I finished, he stared silently across the room.

"You'll help me, won't you?" He started as he broke out if his daze. He looked at me, grinning. I could see the fear and sadness in his eyes.

"Of course I will, bud, and don't you doubt it... I only am concerned about one thing... do you think you will be able to control it? Your Wolf thing, I mean."

"Yeah! I think I'll be able to handle myself. I mean, how hard can it be?" I smiled reassuringly, and he smiled back. "I'll tell you when it's time, alright? The wolf didn't tell me, but I'm thinking it will be soon... He said I have two weeks until time's up."

"Oh, okay. When it's time, I'll be ready." He beckoned me over to his closet. He pulled out a cardboard box and opened it. I gasped as a bunch of knives, guns, and other weapons poked out. "Where'd you get all that?" I gaped at him.

"I have my sources. Anyway, I think we should both call in sick." I looked at him curiously, and he laughed hysterically. "You mean you forgot? We have school today!" We laughed together for the longest time. When our fit was over, Dallas turned to me. "You should probably get home now. You should rest up, as well as clear things up with your sister." I nodded to him, and went out of his room and back to my house. I layed down on my bed, and for the first time, I felt a pang of worry. What if I can't control it? What if I kill... I shook my head. No. I shouldn't think about those things. As long as I keep my head, I can do this. I hope... I relaxed. Dallas can do this. When has he ever let me down?
