A Change Is Going To Come

Chapter 15

Sorry we haven't posted it so long. School got into the way. So we are totally upset about tonight's episode and thought we all need this. So here goes.

Owen busted into her office like a storm. For him, Amelia has become his best friend. It was not a title he gave to many people. Of course, he still called Teddy once in a while but it was not the same than what he had with Amelia. 

"Are you okay? I just saw Meredith in the ER-"

"I'm fine Owen. You should go and help Mer. Is she okay?" 

"I sent her to get a head CT but everything looks good for now."

Amelia sighed in relief. Derek is going to kill her. How could she mess things up so bad? How could she bear the guilt of killing her sister-in-law. 

Owen's pager caught their attention. 

"Go," she simply said. 

He noted and ran off. It was not a 911 but it was urgent. They must've found something, he thought. 

Dr. Bailey rushed the interns and the nurses. This was big, bigger than the last time: they had to do a surgery on Meredith was to take out her spleen. The woman called her work husband. 

"Hey Bailey."

"Dr. Webber, I need you here as soon as possible," she said trying to be sound panicky.

"What's wrong?" 

"Meredith..." she paused. "Meredith is here." 

"Yeah, Amelia came to pick her up earlier." 

"No... They got into an accident. It's pretty bad. I need your help for her surgery." 

Without any more explanation, Richard left Maggie with the kids and rushed to the hospital. Meredith is the closest thing he had to a daughter before he met Maggie. Even then, Meredith is a complete different story.

Derek ran through the halls of the familiar hospital. He had never been so scared. Even when Bailey was born and Meredith had complications he knew she would be okay. Derek had seen car crash victims throughout his career and he didn't know enough about the accident to know Meredith would be okay. He needed to find her. He ran to the nurses station and a familiar nurse told him Meredith's room number before he could even ask. When Derek entered the room his wife was nowhere to be found; instead he was face to face with his sister.

"Where is she?" Derek asked with impatience.

"She's in surgery." Amelia answered in a quiet voice.

"What OR?"
