"I am sorry for all the times I have hurt you with my indecisiveness, my lack of tact, my uncalled for jealousy and most importantly never telling you earlier how I feel."

Hearing Pha say all this just tugged at my heart. With this guy, I was everything j wasn't typically. I was more smiley, more gentle, my heart acted more than my mind and I couldn't stay away from him.

Screw it, if it's meant to be, it will be. No point in me running away. I held onto Pha's hands tightly, willing all of my emotions into it.

Just then the door opened and the boys stumbled in. They caught us by surprise. I wanted to let go of Pha's hands, feeling shy but Pha held on tight.

"So, what's the beef?" Forth chuckled.

"Well he told the nurse I am his boyfriend. I am just trying to make it come true. And I think it almost worked out until you fellows came in! Go away!"
Pha retorted.

I chuckled. Beam came over and smacked Pha on the head. "Hey!" And I smacked Beam on his hands. Forth came over and smacked me on my back. Park growled at Forth whilst Wai held him from sniping at him. Ming and Kit just laughed. Just then, the door opened again and Pha's medical team walked in.

We separated then and got the updates on his condition. We also found out that he could be discharged so that was excellent news. However, just then a new pair of people walked in. However, upon seeing these people, Pha's eyes paled whilst Kit and Beam also stood up immediately. I then heard them go

"Phana, when you were planing to let us know you were hospitalised?

"Mae.. Dad, I..."

"Quit it. We wouldn't have known if Daddy didn't email your lecturers wanting an update on your school standing which is horrible by the way. 3rd in class?!?!"

"I..Its.. I'm sorry. I work harder."

"You have to, you are coming back with us. Beam and Kit, don't you know better?! Not keeping an eye on him, letting him astray. Who are all these people by the way?"

Beam softly uttered, "These are our friends from Engineering. This is my boyfriend Forth, that's Ming, Kit's boyfriend. This is Park and Wai. And that's Lam over there by Phana."

I raised my eyebrows hearing Beam call him Phana. These must be his parents but they seemed so fierce.

"Boyfriends?! When did you guys become gay? Haven't I told you never to challenge nature's law? Boys must like girls only. Phana, I hope you aren't influenced by them. And the rest of you, please leave. I like my son to have complete bed rest."

Everyone were too stunned to reply or retort that they all shuffled out quietly. I looked at Pha who was all teary. I just smiled at him, waiied at his parents respectfully and left. As I was going out, I heard his mother continue, "I hope you aren't doing anything disgraceful like having a boyfriend. I can't say much to Beam and Kit as they aren't my sons but you. If I find out you are like them, trust me when I say I will cut you off and make sure they are cut out of your life too. You are the first heir and a doctor to be. Don't ruin your image. Plus, I always told you, no such thing as love in your life. Love doesn't pay anything."

I was very stunned hearing that. I nearly wanted to go back and smack his mother's face but I held it in and went out. I closed the door after myself and I looked at the boys.

"Well, looks like we are royally fucked, aren't we?" Beam chuckled softly and grimly.

I looked at him; his eyes were teary too. He must have been very affected.

"Now you always know why Pha said that about boys liking girls. He has to, or else his mom would kill him and his partner. Pha has never learnt to love or fallen for anyone. You are his blessing Lam, but I didn't expect his parents to turn up.. This is going to be tough." Beam uttered softly.

I just looked at the door and kept quiet. There is no way I am ending our love story before it even started. And Pha was not going to be alone. Not since he has me now.
