"just accept it, you like me already don't you," jeonghan asked.

"just accept it, you're a scaredy cat, aren't you?" I asked back.

"aigoo let's just change topic. this isn't good to talk about, I'm no scaredy cat," he claimed.

"sure, just continue to lying to yourself yeah? that confidence will come," I replied sarcastically.

"yah don't make fun of me, it's not like you weren't scared at all either," he pouted.

"fine fine, we're both scaredy cats, okay?" I assured, "you're just a bigger one."

"sheesh, fine," he sighed, "then you're a scaredy kitten, my scaredy kitten." he's really going all in isn't he. but fine, kim y/n, be honest, you already fell for him.

"walk faster, I have a curfew," I told him, quickening my steps.

"sure sure, make excuses. don't think I don't know, you secretly like me already don't you," he smirked.

and that bicker lasted all the way till I reached home.

"I'm home already, you can go. bye," I told him.

since the other pair had already gone for the trip, we decided to meet again the next day to discuss all the information we have obtained and classify them properly. at jeonghan's house- I didn't choose that. minhee did. maybe her underlying attraction towards jeonghan was acting up. jeonghan seemed to like that idea too, though. he agreed within seconds. and well, jangbin and I didn't get a say.

and so we met there. apparently I reached first. excitement for sure.

"hey, you're early," he told me.

"I'm not early. the others are just late-" I clarified.

"so you're the early bird and my scaredy kitten," he smirked.

"guys stop bickering, let's get to work," I called them back as they quickly stopped. we all got seated on the ground as we both got out the samples we gathered.
