"jeonghan ssi~ and you again?? what are you doing here again?" jeonghan's mom asked.

"mom, I know that both dad and yourself will oppose to this but, I have to say it. I'm not going to marry minhee, it's yoo ri I truly love. I promised yall to try things out with minhee and I have, but it's not working at all. I've been thinking of yoo ri all this while and having to deliberately distance myself from yoo ri has been killing me internally. I know yall want me to marry minhee for business purposes but please, let me choose my own life partner... everything in my life had been chosen by you two and I have been doing all of those diligently, just let me have a part in my life this time," he pleaded.

"what do your parents work as?" jeonghan's mom asked me.

"um my parents run a small restaurant business" I replied softly.

"you want to marry this girl who'll probably be a delivery woman in the future? you want to pass our four generation long yoon business to this girl here? jeonghan-ssi, who are you kidding" she scoffed.

"ajumma, I dont know what you have against us families who run small f&b businesses, but it's one, not like you make it out to be and two, I have a choice not to be a delivery woman in the future. as much as your son can choose to not take over your family's four gen business, I can choose not to be the 'delivery woman' you assume I will become, I hope you can get your facts right. I'm sorry if I've offended you in any way but I'm just stating facts, I hope you'll understand," I said.

she stared at me in shock as she turned to look back at jeonghan.

"make your pick, either you be a good son and take over our business, and marry minhee, or let go everything and pick this ridiculously rude little brat here as your life partner," she demanded.

"she's not a ridiculously rude little brat-" he made clear, "and I'll rather end this useless business of ours. I mean, how do you even make out this illegal human trafficking business we run into such a grand sounding official business? if you're looking to pass the business on, wait till jeonggyu's old enough and pass it on to him, he looks more eager than I am for the business. now if you could, I'd appreciate if you two could keep your feet out of my self-bought-with-my-own-funds apartment. and get your dear helper out of here too, she barely does anything other than cooking edible meals."

"you'll regret all of this one day, jeonghan ssi, but if you made this decision, fine. live with the consequences it comes with next time," jeonghan's dad said. with that, the couple made their leave.
