yoo ri pov:

"yoo ri~" jeonghan called.

"what is wrong with you- why are you suddenly so clingy?" I asked.

"what do you mean suddenly, I was always like that towards you and you only," he winked. no, you weren't like this in the previous time loop-

"s... sure," I said, pushing away slightly.

"do you prefer if I was less clingy?" he asked. did i?

"i... I 've never thought about that," I replied. I'm just not used to this version of jeonghan. but I definitely couldn't tell him that.

"hm okay," he replied. and from then on, he seemed to be less clingy. in fact, he seemed to become just like the jeonghan I met in the previous loops. he became that subtly flirty jeonghan again, that jeonghan the way I liked.

we were chosen to go for the resevior trip yet again, and it seemed like we were back at the previous time loop.

as I'd expected, I reached early. or should I say, earlier than usual again. and yet again, he was close to one hour late.

"where were you?" I asked.

"I helped an old lady cross a road and then I realised she was a dementia patient, and forgot where her home was. so I helped her call for her family and waited with her until her family arrived, sorry about that," he replied. that's a whole new jeonghan for sure.

"oh that's nice. let's get started with our project then," I replied as he nodded in agreement.

"as usual, I went to collect the water samples. for some reason, I was hoping that a water snake would appear. part of me wished that it was going to go just like how it went previously. I was lowkey dying to get back together with jeonghan. but obviously, I tried not to show it.

as I collected the samples, I looked intently into the water. sheesh, why aren't there any snakes for goodness sake. when I need it, it doesn't appear...

"yoo ri, are you done?" jeonghan's voice rang into my ears and I stood up in shock. I tripped over my own feet and I was falling towards the pond as I suddenly felt a strong grip on my waist, pulling me back.

my back was pressed against jeonghan's body as I felt my heartbeat going faster and faster again. just like how I'd missed it.

"are you okay?" he asked as his breaths hit against my ears. I replied a soft 'yes' as I turned towards my right, where my eyes met jeonghan's. we were so close, if anyone were to just push either one of us slightly-

before I knew it, jeonghan's lips were on mine as I widened my eyes in shock. he let go of his grip on me as I fell backwards, into the river. great. my whole bottom's wet now.

"s... sorry," he said, helping me up from the river, "someone pushed me from behind, I didn't mean it that way."

"mean it what way?" I asked, challenging him back as I took steps towards him.

"don't try me," he replied, "let's go get you another bottom to change into."

"okay sure," I replied. the way he just cut me off- but hey, when I wished for someone to push either one of us it really happened. is that how things are in this time loop? because if it was, I better use it to my advantage, shouldn't I?
