yoo ri pov:

group work. again. why do teachers love to assign group work it's a literal pain in the ass. uncooperative members. useless members, in fact. literally always makes me feel like it's individual work, rather than group work. please god, place me with some member who would actually contribute this time...

"group eight, kim yoo ri, yoon jeonghan, kang minhee, seo jangbin," the teacher announced. who in the world are these people. if you couldn't tell yet, I'm an ambivert. I could choose who I wanted to show my 'extroverted side' to, and also choose who I wanted to show my 'introverted side' too. and they, were who I never bothered to befriend :)

hopefully this group work would go well I guess..? it depends on our first proper get-together, after I see them I more or less am able to predict so let's just wait and see I guess

"okay students, get into your groups at your allocated tables," she said.

I made my way to the table labelled '8' while three others did too.

as they all sat down, it became awkward. while other groups were chatting passionately, there was my group which was dead silent. they probably didn't know each other beforehand too. uh fresh start for all of us I guess???

no one took the initiative to start the conversation, so my extroverted side naturally came out.

"okay guys, so let's introduce ourselves? and also choose our pairings. teacher-nim told us to get into pairs since there would be two main parts and it would be easier if each pair focused on one, it would be more manageable," I explained.

"okay, how are we doing it?" the other girl asked, "I'm minhee by the way."

"I'm jangbin," the other guy said.

"jeonghan," said the last.

so the introduction ended like that. cool..?

"I'm yoo ri. okay, now that we know each other, let's just choose our groupings? I guess we can just go by scissors paper stone, and whoever wins choose first, the other two naturally group together. sounds good?" I asked. they nodded.

"well uh, let's start? scissors paper stone!"

minhee won, and she quickly pointed to jeonghan. and with that, our groupings were formed. case closed. or not-

"any strong opposing opinions towards the current pairings?" I asked them.

"me," jeonghan said, "I want to pair with you."

"m... me?-" I asked, "um, minhee, you okay with that?"

"s... sure, that means I'm with jangbin right? that works too," she replied, "are you okay with that though?"

"I'm fine with anything. I don't know yall yet, I don't want to make false assumptions about your characters," I told them, "in that case, I'll pair with jeonghan and minhee, you'll pair with jangbin, okay?"

they nodded and with that, our groups were peacefully chosen.
