OMNISCIENT POV
THE NEXT DAY.
——————————

"She still isn't picking up?" Kierra asks her wife.

She shook her head, dialing Janet number again. "And it isn't like she isn't up. She should have been at work, by now," She says, hanging up the phone as the voicemail box spoke.

Kierra sighed and took out her phone. "Just try, one more time. If she doesn't answer, something has to be wrong," She says and Erica nods, attempting another time.

The two stared down at the phone as it rung. On the last ring, Erica grew irritated and got up from the couch. "Let's go, this ain't sitting right with me.." She said, swiping the keys from off of the table.

Kierra walked behind her, stepping into her shoes before opening the door. As they walked to their car, Kierra's mind raced but something made her stop.

"Wait.." She says.

Erica turned her head. "Wait? I don't have time for waiting, get in this car.." She said, unlocking the door. She got in and started it up, going in the glovers compartment to grab her gun.

Kierra walked to the car and grabbed the weapon. She walked around the car and got in the passengers seat, placing it back on the compartment.

"We have to be on the bright side. We kept her out until three in the morning, she's probably still asleep.." She said and her wife pulled off with a look of relief.

She was thinking the worst thing possible, but hearing that put air back into her lungs. "Now that you mention it, she might be. Poor baby is probably hungover," She says. "We gotta stop by Panera to her something to soak up that alcohol.."

Kierra agreed and reached down in her purse to pull out her card from of her wallet, tucking it in her back pocket.

"And did you ever call your Mama about the change of plans, for the weekend?"

"Yeah," She said, laughing. Karen was furious but it meant no harm.

Erica nodded and sped her way to Panera Bread. In the middle of the drive, her mind shifted to the altercation that led to them leaving and gripped the steering wheel. She couldn't stand them for a reason and each time she tried to be nice, they handed her their ass and for her out of character.

"I'm never inviting those bums anywhere again.." She says all of a sudden.

Kierra looked at her, confused. "Who are you talking about?"

"The three from yesterday. They blew the hell of me and it's so obvious they're jealous of Janet. It made no sense for them to say the things that they said to her,"

Her wife sighed. "I was thinking about that too. Sat right in her face and basically called her old.."

"That wasn't even the worst part. Gil yelling in her face pissed me off. What the fuck was he even talking about? What stranger was she dancing on?"

"I don't know, you had me distracted. I didn't know he was yelling until you went charging like an angry bull,"

"He had me fucked up bae.." Erica mumbled.

"I know baby but that has already happened and passed. I don't want you thinking about this, getting yourself worked up," Kierra reached over to grab her face, kissing it.

Erica said nothing as she turned right, driving around Panera's parking lot. Parking up front, she turned the car off and grabbed some cash. She got out and walked over to her wife's side, opening the door for her before the two of them walked into the building. It was fairly crowded, but the lines weren't long.
