TONI'S POV
SATURDAY. MARCH 9, 2019.
——————————

"Bae, I gotta go."

"No."

"I'ma just be downtown. I'll be back later," I said and tried getting up again, but she held me tighter. Whole time, my phone was in my pocket going crazy.

I know it was the niggas at the trap because they've been tryna reach me since two o' clock this morning. Who were they expecting to be up around that time? I've been getting head around ten and be knocked out a minute later. She got a mean ass throat.

As she kept her hold on me, I sighed and picked up, sitting on the edge of the bed. She wrapped her legs and arms around me, resting her head on my shoulder.

I put my arms around her waist and stuck my face in her neck, inhaling her sweet scent. "Ma, I said I'ma be later on. I promise. The longer you take to let me go, the longer it's gon take fa me to get back to you."

She whined, raising her head from my shoulder. Her face held a cute pout while her eyebrows creased in the middle of her forehead. "Why do you want to leave me so bad?"

"It ain't that I want to leave, I need to. I called this shit and I can't not be there. I missed too many days as is."

"Okay? Why can't they just handle whatever it is by themselves?"

"Ma," I trailed off. She being so difficult. She rolled her eyes and got off of my lap, lying down in the middle bed. She covered her head with the covers. "Bae, chill out."

"Just go, Toni. You want to go so bad, I'm letting you. I'll be okay by myself.." She said and I put my hand over my face, throwing my head back. This ain't what I wanted. I wasn't tryna have her mad at me about this.

I hovered her on the bed and yanked the covers off of her, smacking her ass. "I'ma be right back, stop with this attitude. Let me go get this money.." I said and grabbed her face, kissing her smushed together lips. I heard a cute whimper fall from her lips and smirked, kissing her cheek and neck. Knew she couldn't resist me.

She moaned, rubbing on my shoulders. She hit that sensitive wound but I played it off, moving my arm. "But what if I start missing you? You know it's going to happen."

"That's when you call or text my phone. Never said I was gon be so busy we couldn't still talk."

She nodded her head and sat up against the headboard. "Okay, that's all you had to say. Go handle your business, Papa," She said and pecked my lips one more time.

I licked them and kissed her again, leaning back up. I looked her over before I grabbed my gun from the night stand, putting it on my hip. "What time do you think you'll be back in, though?"

"No later than ten." I said, slipping on my wrist watch.

"Baby," she whined and climbed down from the bed, standing in front of me. "That's six hours from now! What am I supposed to do until then?"

"You could go to the mall and blow that stack you just got. Take Erica and her girl with you. You not gon be paying attention to the time," I walked over to the mirror to check out my appearance, putting my locs into a low ponytail.

Through the mirror, I could see her come up behind me and put her head on my back. "I guess you're right."

"I know I'm right. The minute you get 'round them, a nigga gon be the last thing on ya mind. Come walk me to the door," I said and pulled her from behind me.

She wrapped herself around me again as we walked out of the room. When it came time to walk down the stairs, she jumped up on me and wrapped her legs around my waist. I held her up and when we got to the front door, I carefully put her back down and opened it.
