I NEED U

Dreadful Past

LILY'S PERSPECTIVE
I went to the dining table with a questionnaire going on inside my head.
I sat across him and served him steaming hot dinner on his plate. His brown eyes stared at my figure. I saw him slowly shifting his gaze towards food taking a bite of it. His eyes closed indicating the fact that he liked it.

"So how's it?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Delicious"  he said, munching on the food.
I chuckled and started having my meal too.

After eating our meal, I finally mustered up the courage to ask him about the picture that's confusing me since daylight.

"Mr.Kim?" I called out to him gaining his attention.
"Yes?" he calmly gave me the attention.
"I wanted to ask you something"
"Yeah me too" he said jumping in between the train of my questions.
"Since, we are good friends now..Will  you stop being so formal? Call me Namjoon." he said to which I nodded with a smile.
"So, Namjoon... I wanted to ask about that picture." I pointed towards the picture that was resting on the wall..old yet maintained.
As soon as his eyes fell on the picture, he looked over to my direction with eyes holding a lot of miseries. His lips wanted to utter the words but he couldn't.

"Forget about it" he said in a broken voice and walked to the big window. Probably hiding his broken side from me. I knew this had to do something with his past and it wasn't any good for sure.

I followed his steps and stood beside him. I held his hand and looked to his face only to find him already looking at me.

"It's okay, you can tell me" I said assuring him.
That's when tears streamed down his cheeks which he might be holding back since god knows when. He trembled but I held him and made him sit on the chair.

Namjoon: That picture resembles the last day of my happiness. She ruined my life.
Lily: Who? I asked patting his back.
Namjoon: My ex wife. 7 years ago, I was forced into a marriage with a girl. For the sake of my parents' happiness I agreed to the proposal. I-I never kn-ew s-she was a snake. Lily immediately poured him a glass of water. He further told,

One night she comes over to me and
told me that she was bearing a child but I knew it wasn't mine since I never accepted this relationship. But when I made up my mind to give in the relationship which I never had a good feeling about, she came over to me with this news, clearly holding a flag of cheater. I wanted to end her existence from my life but she threatened me to kill my parents. I was helpless. I had to keep her with me until she gave birth. She wanted me to take the responsibility of the child and ran away with the real responsible. Leaving me with a little innocent soul.
My parents, they wanted my forgiveness but it was never their fault. Something that was at fault was my destiny. he broke down into tears, his heartbeat felt like weak glass shattering into pieces. I hugged him and he cried on my shoulder.
"Let it all out, you'll feel lighter..I'm here" I said to him and carressed his hair.

Namjoon's POV
It's not been 2 days I met her, and I put all my heavy feelings in front of her. No one made me feel that way. She held me in her arms with care and concern. There was no one in my life who stayed longer but looking at her assures me that she was the one for my life. I wasn't ready to trust, love or put expectations towards anyone but she felt like the one I could lean on for everything. I was refusing my instincts but not anymore, my heart clearly showed me that I had fallen for her.
